As a habs fan I can tell he's going to be very usefull. He was on pace to score 20 goals on his 1st season before he got injured off-ice by a crazy driver. He plays a very physical game and he's got a good shot.
He is going to be a very good player for the Islanders. This is coming from a Habs fan. At first I thought 16th 17th picks in an average draft year were just meh. It turned out Islanders drafted two solid players.
Darche had a good start as Isles GM.
I'm sad to see him leave. He's a very strong player, can force the puck in the offensive zone and pass player with his body strength. He will help the Islanders for sure.
