1. Yeah JT Miller is too hotheaded for EP40 and this is the next move? LOL They better move EP40 to Buffalo before the NMC kicks in or this is such a head scratcher.

  2. Old white guys. Kane has a squeaky clean 4 years in Edmonton. Get over it. $5.125 cap hit for one year. What do you think he’d get as a UFA? What are teams options for top 6 wingers? This is a smart pick up for a 4th rounder. A rare power forward who can skate and score. His playoff 5 on 5 analytics were top 5 in the League. There’s nothing not to like.

  3. You guys love Corey Perry, and he got run out of Chicago for behaviour. These are millionaire athletes and you guys want church mice? Get real.

  4. Kane is not a “road block” for bottom 6 guys from Abby. Get real. They will spend on a 2 C, which might involve some money going out. JR said they needed 3 players. There’s a thin UFA class and too may buyers, driving up the AAVs and term. This is a smart and patient move, as it gives them options next July. Linus Karlsson has NO SHOT at a top 6 roster spot.

  5. 'in terms of being a feared opponent, he's turning 34 in August, he's getting up there'- The age card is such a cop-out, lazy argument for people who don't have much substance to add. They said the same about Marchand and Perry.

  6. Home town kid, contract year… fingers crossed there's no drama. I hope he can prop up Petterson and the rest of the team.

  7. Maybe a message to EP. “You soft little bitch, we traded the guy you were scared of and you were still shit. Enjoy.”

    Blow it up.

  8. Evander Kane has been a model citizen in Edmonton and a good teammate and none of the problems that followed him in the past.
He was great with fans and local children’s charities and was also involved in the indigenous community.
He is a good family man and has been an exemplary leader and hockey player.
For those that doubt his character – he was given sole custody of his daughter over the mother of the child that created a lot of trouble in his life. He is remarried and is a wonderful family man.
The Oilers organization has a long history of helping players turn their lives around and bringing out the best in him.
He’s learned from past mistakes and has matured into a fine young man.
Don’t be fooled by his age he is a very young 34 year old with lots of gas in the tank. He’s a power forward that hits and scores and picks up for his teammates and is not afraid of any player in the league. He’ll fight anyone.
Vancouver only got him because the Oilers needed cap space. The fans are lucky to have one of the leagues best power forwards on their team.

  9. Seems like Allvin cannot make any other trades, cannot keep and re-sign his own players to a contract and have to take SHXT now. Yikes!

  10. Shocker the beta male whiner Canucks media are negative again about a Canucks move.
We honestly should all just boycott these fools and their ridiculous non stop negativity.

  11. A 25 goal scorer or more if with Pettersson, protects teammates, hits like a truck and can fight with the toughest in the league whos game is a lot like Tom Wilson, who's a better family man now doing charity work and a great teammate for a 4th rd pick and 1 yr and these annoying clowns paint it as a bad signing.
Annoying AF clueless whiny beta male clowns.

  12. Cam is saying what I think, besides the player. Why take the full cap hit from a team that needed to move him. They should have gotten a pick for taking him.

Really liked his take on how they operate in Vancouver, sell low instead of sell high. Sherwood should definetely be on the table for at trade

  13. It was Stupid, what direction are the Canucks going????? Nowhere!! They need to get younger and build through the draft and not patchwork crap that make us look like idiots.
