I know (hope) it’s far from over but considering they have not a whole lot in cap space and need an actually goalie and 1 or 2 more players maybe. Who knows.
Edmonton are worst off. Can’t win when you have 4 player close 60 million. 25 making 9.2 million, 2 making 10.5 million,29 making 15, 97 going to be making 16 million

I would take carter hart if he is not guilty. The NHL going after teams for talking to players pre free agency really changed free agency, there weren't many signings today compared to previous years with the oilers getting basically nothing today. I'm hoping to see more tomorrow from Edmonton.
No goalies, over paid defense in Nurse & Bouch. No improvements No McDavid.
I see him looking for a short term contract 2-4 years if the Oilers are lucky but more than likely he's starting to look at the exit door. Why stay when you know there's no chance your going to win.

Im irritated about the Boeser deal… Should have made the move! Should've traded Nurse and freed up all that wasted cap space and signed Boeser. just my opinion. They resigned Coin flip Bouchard which basically means we will either see more slap-shot magic or more turn overs right in front of our goalie…. what a loss today was..
Why stay far away from Carter Hart? He is definitely a better goalie than Skinner. If he is found not guilty, I would love to see him in Oilers uniform.
Happy Canada Day Everyone. Lost Perry (5th most productive Oiler in the playoffs) and Kane, Brown gone. Klingberg gone. Got some AHL talent back. Right back to "Stu is our guy". Pickard should say "F this, I'll go play on a club on the way up who can use a really good goaltender rather then stay in Etown and get shet on as I save Series'. Wow Jackson/Bowman sure know how to destroy a contender. Unless they pull off a series of phenomenal upgrades with the cap space, you can count MCd Gone.

I have no issue with Hart if he is found not guilty. There have been many reclamation projects in Oiler history that worked out . Hopefully Bowman has a plan that will work.

LA took much of Edmonton's grit from 2 years ago and added to LA. I'm a huge Oilers fan…but LA will beat Edmonton if they meet in next year's playoffs unless Bowman can work some magic. It's not looking good.
The entire team needs to be gutted to make Oilers one of the youngest teams in the NHL. They are currently the oldest team in the NHL.

So sad to see Corey Perry gone. Oilers should have signed him. If Cory Hart is signed by the Oilers that would be the end of this team as we know it. There would be as much or more opposition as when Stan Bowman was signed. Bowman obviously would have no problem with what happened with Cory Hart.

Lets be honest. There isnt many good players out there that were actually reasonable to fight over. And not give away tons of years on contracts. We dont esnt any 5-8 year contracts that are over 4 million per year.
I think we know we need a balanc eof tough players and speed. Arvidson did neither. Brown was ok but he got his chance and penalty kill sucked this entiee year. Perry it is what it is.
None of those 3 will make or break us. Perry did great but that would have been Hyman getting those goals and maybe more anyways. Kane and Skinner whatever. Kane will be salty in Vancouvers crappy culture.
Im just worried about having a bad start to the year and overplaying our stars so they get tired for another runm or injured.

The Oilers are gonna do most their business at the trade deadline this year.
Sometimes the best time to pick up a goalie is in the first couple months of the season. So if we do bad there we can make some changes.
While it sucks we lost broberg and holloway they still chose to leave the Oilers. Im sure they wer3 wishing they were on the Oilers in finals helping us!!!!

Interesting to see NBA. Milwaukee waived Lillard and his huge contract to keep Giannis. And signed a 100 million guy in Turner. That got to be a player like Giannis pressuring rhe team to do something or hes leaving.
