I’m definitely a part of your core group. Love the show. As long as the leafs make the playoffs next year that’s all that matters. I wouldn’t mind ending up in a wild card spot and playing against the Metro for the first two rounds!

I’ve always maintained that getting rid of Kadri was the worst move by Dubas. And he made pretty much nothing but mistakes. As a Panthers fan, but fan of this channel too, Kadri was/is basically a Bennett. You guys had your cup team already if you simply don’t sign Tavares and keep Hymen and Kadri with that money. As well as don’t lose the contract negotiations with Marner and Matthews.
Pretty much any random, experienced GM in the league who understands playoff hockey would’ve done just that. Dubas single handedly costed you guys at least 1 Cup. And Shanny for hiring a completely unqualified, supposed analytics nerd kid who excelled at corporate speak and being PC. Dubas either doesn’t understand or refuses to accept the game that is playoff hockey. He has a clear bias against it.

Personally, marchand is the KIND of player that's useful in the playoffs, but he himself is not a Leaf. Never will be. Knies is.
