Hey I’m first .. and I don’t hate this
This is a great signing red wings fans who hate this signing are delusional and dumb as fck
The red wings free agency signings this summer are underrated
Sign Ehlers, or trade for Robertson, and none of the nobodies he signed will matter.
It’s only 2 years at least. But yeah… another bottom 6 forward that’ll be lucky to score 25 points. Stevie can GTFO with that nonsense.
Jets are my 2nd team, Appleton will be a great fit in the wings bottom 6. Excellent signing
The problem we have is in order to trade for big name, or any top 6 forward, is teams want our top prospects. Do people really want to trade away Danielson, ASP, Cossa, Kasper? I don’t think we should trade these guys, not yet.
Hopefully this boosts the third and fourth line. He is a RHC and Ras is the LHC
The bottom depth is not great in terms of scoring points.
Or is Ras on his way out?
Great depth signing 🎉
Nothing digestable about this.
I hope we are horrible this year and fall right into last place and then trade away whatever and anything else for the pick that gets Gavin McKenna, that is the only thing I can cheer for at this point
Y'all know Yzerman's younger brother is the Director of Pro scouting? o.O
…idk how I feel about that. Explains some of the poor signings like J.T. Compher, Jeff Petry, Ben Chiarot, etc.
Copp & Tarasenko haven't/hasn't really worked out either. And we used to blame Holland for bad contracts & being generous with term.
Nepotism is alright if it works out, but he's not really doing a good job.
Yzerman & the scouts are (for the most part) hitting on the draft picks/prospects.
Based on their cap hits, it seems like Appleton is the tarasenko replacement and jvr is the motte replacement. Which makes no sense based on what I've heard about Appleton's offense
If he is actually capable of providing "snarl", maybe he can show people everything that Rasmussen isn't for once. I'm fine with this signing.
Our bottom six was an offensive boack hole so we picked up an offensive bottom six black hole. Draft lottery here we go.
Good news for anyone who cant sleep copp compher applton will guarantee you a good nights rest.
Well with the signing of mason appleton means copp or Compher is getting traded or moose too
Oh great, another mid forward whose not physical or big.
The naysayers never address anything other than big names. Guys do get better when the enter prime years. Be patient! Penalty kill improvement is a big deal. Net front presence/ability to redirect is absolutely a need. Better goaltending and you can see the needs addressed. One more thing. He has assets to move if the deal he wants is there. All the naysayers will be long gone when the core hits its prime and we are perennial cup contenders for a decade.
