5.5 Million for one year for Kane on a rising Cap this year and next year is not that bad at all. This year's FA class was really weak with most players getting resigned the day before. Trades, will be the only way to get a significant players in this year. when we look at the trades that have been dealt, could Detroit beat those offers? I don't think so, I still think Stevie has another Trade or two it's just gonna be a quiet process. And you can't compare Ekblad's or Marchand's contracts, they took discounts in a no Tax state so they will still bring home as much money if they signed for more elsewhere.

Lots of bad takes. Kane was near a ppg for us. Who was replacing that? His bonus counts toward next year if needed where they have a ton of cap coming off the books. Since they aren't against the cap currently, it could even be on this year. What's is matter when they have so much cap space?
