Probably the most infuriating thing the Bruins did was let Lauko walk and then sign Sean Kuraly, the same player except slower, older, and more expensive. It's almost like they had to balance out their skill-focused draft this year by going after all fourth liners in free agency.
I can almost guarantee their eyes were solely on the 24 goal season when it comes to Jeannot. They are always hunting for another MIlan Lucic and try to force it when it's not there. Case in point: Trent Frederick, Nick Ritchie, Matt Belesky. The list goes on and it never works. This time, they've made a five year commitment to that project, all while not addressing their need for a top six guy and a right-handed defenseman for the second pairing. Maybe if they're lucky, they'll be a bubble team.

Bruins spending that much cap space for bottom six forwards is insane but expected. the front office has an erection for guys like that lately. Not like the free agency was anything spectacular but the front office needs to be cleaned out ESPECIALLY after saying their aim is to be competitive. COMPETITIVE TO WHAT?! the last four teams in the league?
