I get the sense that Conroy is not a very good GM. The Hanifin trade was not very good imo. Neither were some of his other ones. It seems CC just can't get proper value out of his players and lately can't get these trades over the finish line. I think he's too soft with the players and needs to be more cutthroat to get proper value in trades and to simply make these big trades. There is a lot of frustration amongst fans regarding CC right now. I get players have their rights to go where they want but FA is bending the Flames over a barrel and it's affecting his trade value for the team. Moreover, Craig's inability to pick a lane is overly frustrating. Are you tanking so the team can get legit superstars in the lineup or are you going for it? His lack of significant movement so far is clear the team will NOT be competing for a cup ever. This team will just spin it's wheels if they don't tank for a couple years. If they had a #1 centreman it would be a different story but they don't. Not even in their system. There is no superstars at all besides maybe Parekh .
You need one or two under 23 centres. If you won’t bottom out so you can draft them. Look at the sharks, Columbus. If you won’t crash , bite the bullet, and over pay.

Only thing keeping Ras's value fairly high is there is no other top 4 dman available.
