Ive got time for Skinner, the dude is 26 still so young for a goalie. It was supposed to be Campbells net for a bit with skinner backing but then thing went south and Skinner was thrown into the starting position WAY to early. He has gained crazy experience and taken us to 2 finals. If there is a better goalie with playoff experience I say get him but you keep Stu.

funny how optimistic EDM media is so optimistic. Kane is tougher, hits way more often and way harder, scores way moer than Frederic.. who is bottom6.. but excited to give Frederic 3.8 of of Kane's 5.1m.. just gain 1.3m in Cap – but get a bottom6 who has very poor scoring finish. EDM needs to improve its scoring/shooting accuracy !!!

There is NO way that Bouch is better than Walman and Ekholm. Period. Pooing blank. So 10 Mil when Wal has around 4 and Ekholm is around 7. Give me a break! He was making soooo many poor passes and lazy defending until the playoffs and then he was awesome.
Brown at $4 million, Frederic at $4 million? These would be absolutely horrible deals. Bouchard doesn't deserve $11 million. They should sign him for $8m x 4. By then Nurse is gone and Bouchard can prove himself more and then re-sign a big contract when the cap is much higher.
$17-22 million for Nurse and Bouchard is a recipe for failure. Add in $8 million for two bottom-6 forwards, who scored a combined 6G and 13P in the playoffs and a total of 21G in the season. These two players won't make the the team better. $6 million for both is reasonable.
It’s stuns me beyond understanding that anybody thinks Bouchard is a quality defenseman. He is a contradiction in that term. He does not have any defensive IQ whatsoever and his notoriety comes from all of his points. But if you look at his point production, it’s pretty basic. Get the puck give it to Connor get the puck give it to Connor.The best thing that that Team could ever do is sign him and get rid of him as fast as possible. Does anybody actually even watch the games or do they just look at the points? Ridiculous
As a non Edmonton fan I don't see the Bouchard need. Dude is gonna cost a fortune and doesn't give a monkeys defending which doesn't help your goalies at all. I would let him go and get in some actual D.
For those trashing Oilers defence, the Athletic has the Oil D ranked first in the NHL going into next season. Now that may change with the draft or free agency but that isn’t terrible spot to be in. Yes the Bouche Blunders are extremely frustrating as they seem to end in the net; but teams listen and dive into analytics and Bouchard’s are quite high. Which is why he’ll get paid. Now if another team offersheets him to way more than the Oilers we’re gonna pay, see ya; that money can be spent elsewhere.
