Sad day 😢 you will be missed #27
Bad day in Wpg sports
Kenny's right, all signs point to: path to the cup + privacy/anonymity + a chance to earn L1 position.
We'll miss you, Nik. Good luck in Raleigh.
saddest day. what a player, he wasn't treated well until Arniel came. Hope he wins a cup!
Jets are a better team this time then end of season.
Frees up more cap space to re-sign Samberg and Vilardi.
Jets will be fine, lots of cap room, good prospects, move on
Jets not trading him wasn't the issue. The Jets giving him less time than Appleton was the issue. Thr Jrts missmanaged him and it was certainly time for him to go.
"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away…"
Lol
Sometimes Kenny you try to be the nice guy to a fault
Is he going to fit in with brind'amour, who's big into conditioning?
You will be sooo very missed Fly guy!! I hope you get a chance to prove yourself. I already knew you have more to give and I hope you are able to FLY high. Wishing you the VERY best! love ya always!!
I have no problem ehlers moving in. Jets need to focus on getting size and grit for a deep playoff run. They may have lost some scoring but this may good to get a two way strong forward. Jets went deep with buff.
If toews can be 2nd line center I think we'll be fine, if he can't play 2nd line we're in trouble
Jets will be fine
Once again we get nothing for a player we drafted and developed , jets are a joke
Great player to small for playoffs
Should have traded him while we had the chance instead of getting nothing poor management
He made a good choice. Like Ken Wiebe said.
And he will score more points in Carolina than he ever did in Jets. And his playing time is shorter. Period.
Sorry guys, but Perfetti will never match Sebastian Aho as player. That comment was total bulls..
Just swallow the poison pill and go on. Jets is still a good team.
I really enjoyed watching Ehlers play. A very exciting player.
A very exciting player. Really sorry not to be able to watch him as much.
He will get banged up playing Washington and florida
With respect, Wiebe doesn't want to discuss/"debate" whether the Jets should've moved Ehlers at the deadline or, more to the point, sometime in the last year but that is a conversation that needs to happen. I get that big teams go "all in" when they're leading the conference but another way to go all in is to recognize when you have an asset that isn't signed and therefore is likely to do just what NE has done. Assuming the Jets had some idea that he was or very well may be disinclined to stay, they should have AGGRESSIVELY been trying to move him for the last full year. Who's to say they couldn't have got a dividend that put them over the top (or at least closer) this past year? I mean, he was very good in his one round this year but has not been good in playoffs in previous years and has been hurt a lot. It would have made sense and it was discernible as such a year ago. And besides, doing a postmortem on moves that didn't work out for you isn't just some peevish "hindsight armchair quarterbacking", it's essential to leaders learning from their mistakes.
Ehlers should have negotiated trade. Seems malicious to a place that loved him 🤜🏽❤️
Feels like a lot of people had Ehlers as part of a trade package out of Winnipeg. Not getting ehlers signed earlier is a mistake because it doesn't look like any of the prospects are ready to step into a meaningful role. There are no meaningful FAs on top of that. Too many question marks up front
