  1. Bouchard is now easily the “most over rated over paid” D in the entire league … take away his Point production from passes to Leon and Connor and your left with a defenceman who is clueless and has zero Hockey IQ in the defensive zone. He would struggle to stay in the AHL if it wasn’t for his lack of playing with those two. Please remember Dave Cementhead Semenko posted up 35 points when he played with Gretzky. Seriously.

  2. Nurse is garbage I’m done watching the oilers like I said before nurse contract is the reason they will never win a cup over paid bum

  3. Cant we give 97, 10 million over 4/8 years plus a stake( percentage )in the team Just a hypothetical thought ??????????

  4. Okay. I have gone back to the source. NURSE DID NOT REJECT A TRADE. Both him and Henrique declined to waive to their NMC. Oilers did not have a trade lined up for both.

  5. Nurse isn't the problem. Here's the breakdown of GwG's in the SCF. Tell me how many Nurse was on the ice for? Spoiler alert: 0. How many was 2, 29, & 97 on the ice for? ALL GwGs. People are ok with blaming Nurse. Seeing this REALITY, ask yourself why and what it's really about.

    GWG 2025 SCF

    Game #2 On ice 2,14,29,90,97

    Game #3 On ice 2,14,19,93

    Game #5 On ice 2,96,90,97,29

    Game #6 On ice 2,96,90,97,29

Goaltending has been another sore spot, yet management said it was no big deal. We got an .860 save percent in this years finals. Was that Nurse's fault too.

  6. There needs to be a rule change to protect teams from Nurse contracts it is destroying teams. Too many players train harder and push harder in contract years then slack off after the contract is signed. There needs to be protection.

  7. 48.25% of cap space spent on 4 players will ensure Stan has very little flexibility going forward.

  8. If I was Macd I would request a trade to Florida, take a pay cut, win that cup and then move on. There's no chance the Oil win a cup with 4 players eating up half the salary cap. I laugh when these guys say they're all a big family and then go and demand ridiculous contracts while their other "family" members are making like a tenth of what Leon and Mac d make. You can't have it both ways, either you take a pay cut for the good of the team or you take a majority of the cap money.

  9. I hope that is a wake up call for Nurse. After being asked, it changes things for Nurse knowing that he is now expendable and not considered a core player.

  10. The league should go to incentive based contracts, give each guy a million dollar base and then you earn based on production. The league would be much more balanced, the highest production players would still be the highest paid but you wouldn't have guys like Nurse making money they don't deserve. Nobody in the NHL can tell me Nurse is anything more than a 4 million dollar player.

  11. Oh good, Nurse contract continues to kill the team while he refuses to do anything other than high stick people and fire the puck along the boards as soon as he touches it. For almost 10 million dollars. What a scrub.

  12. It's cute you think the Oilers will win not 1 but 2 cups in the next 5 years. Guess you forgot about the Panthers and your melt down of a goalie called skinner.

  13. Nurse played well in the playoffs and only had rhat one hiccup which wasnt that bad of a penalty against dallas. Even if we save 3-4 million,, what better defenseman could ewe add for 3-4, million??

  14. Is it possible to put Nurse on LTIR for the year and use his cap to buy a goalie? Like Vegas is doing with Petroangelo? THey used that cap for Marner.
