  1. Isn't this move on John Kelley.. moreso from Fanduel?? How much say do the Blues really have??

  2. Unpopular opinion but I like joey vitale. Sometimes i watch video feed on mute with the radio broadcast on another device 🤣

  3. Kerber is a great announcer but John Kelly and the Kelly family have been the voices of the blues for decades. This is a profit motivated move and it is shameful on the part of the blues and fandual.

  4. We will miss John Kelly. Not having a Kelly calling Blues Hockey signals the end of an era and not welcomed by this Blues fan.

  5. Absolutely love Kerbs and Joey, not happy with JK being pushed out. It was special to see guys like RJ and Sam Rosen get farewell tours.

  6. I like how you also cover PWHL news. I know it's only going into its 3rd season, but I hope the popularity and payroll for these ladies keeps growing.

  7. Before the season even started I knew Skinner wasn't going to work out. He needs ice time and the opportunity to take many shots (which he always has done). Knoblauch wrote him off from the start. New team, new system. It's like he expected 7 goals in the first 10 games.

  8. Would gladly have him over anthony Lapanta, one of the worst announcers in the history of history. Mn wild haven't had a good announcer since Mike Goldberg

  9. The EBUG should of course not be too old. Perhaps a fitness trainer or physical therapist, someone in good shape?

  10. Cutter and Leo look like potential pillars of Anaheim for years to come. Am I a biased ducks fan? Yes!

  11. I really, really hate it when people do that. TV and radio are very different mediums, and neither one is happy when they become one. It's such a middle finger to the fans.

  12. So the requirements for the emergency back up gig are EXACTLY WHAT I PAID $6,000 TO DO IN JUNIORS!?! FUCK! Where is a time machine I need to go back and fix some things hold on.

  13. Skinner finally gets to play in some playoffs , gets scratched and then gets traded to the sharks. What did he do in his past life?

  14. Yeah not happy as a blues fan. Will be interesting to see how Kerber adjust to live tv because you can't stout your opinion on calls like he does on radio. Like you cant go on about a bad call on live tv as he does on radio. Will be interesting but miss the Kelly and Panger show back in the days.

  15. I am a forever fan of John Kelly because of his time with the Avalanche. He is probably second only to Avs radio commentator Conor McGahey as my favorite in the business. If the Avs didn’t already have Marc Moser (another great commentator) doing the TV broadcast, I would be begging for JK to come back to the Avs.

  16. Ava fan. When JK went to St. Louis, it hurt. I will always think of him as OUR announcer. Great guy. Wish him well.

  17. Oh nice! Now when Im in STL I might actually hear decent commentary and not about the Cardinals! My blind hatred for that team and city might slowly diminish!

  18. Last time I saw something about salaries for the women's pro hockey (which in fact was on this very channel), the max salary for a TEAM was lower than the minimum salary for a PLAYER in NHL. Don't remember if that was PWHL or what was before it.

  19. I was nine when the Blues moved to town and have been a fan ever since. For over forty of those years there was a Kelly broadcasting the games. This is a dark day. Letting Panger go was rough, but this feels like a betrayal.

  20. Guess Im in the minority but i prefer Kerbs to JK. Kerbs and Joey call a better game and i love Kerbs' passion. Just my opinion.

  21. Blues fan. We are not happy. I imagine this is how Canes fans felt when Forslund's contract was not renewed. JK was one of the best play-by-play callers in sports. Hopefully (if he wants to continue) he gets some national assignments.

  22. Oh dear, I forgot to buy my family a slurpee for 7-11 day… and they all bought me toquitos and chips… there needs to be more decorating done around the city and a proper leadup to the celebration!

  23. would love to get your thoughts on Ike "Iceman" Howard already projected to start the season on the top line with McD and Hyman …personally i think its the best move the Oil made on the offence side so far. granted they are basically stuck on D and goal tending until probably the trade dead line ..if i was GM. would definitely be looking to deal Eklom…granted he stays healthy

  24. I decided to cancel my FDSM subscription this morning. Not only is it my only option of expressing my disagreement with this decision, but I'm just not a big fan of Kerber/Vitale. I don't hate them, but they spend way too much time telling meaningless stories and yucking it up while play is going on. This situation just sucked the enjoyment out of watching the games on FDSM for me. I'll still watch all of their national broadcast games, when available.

  25. I'm not a Blues fan, but enjoyed listening to John Kelly announce Avalanche games back in the late 90s. I've always considered him to be an excellent announcer, as was his Dad before him.

  26. At their worst, Kerber and Vitale are like a bad morning radio show, more intent on entertaining each other than providing meaningful information about the event they're covering. For that reason, the few times I've listened to their radio broadcast, I've found them more annoying than anything else. They literally spend minutes at a time going off on some inconsequential tangent they find personally amusing without saying one word about the action in the game. I suppose some people call that "chemistry." I call it self-indulgent and unprofessional. I'm sure their demographic skews younger than JK, which may be part of what the club was looking for. I'm sure, too, the club will save a buttload of money having those guys handle both radio and TV, a decision that seems to have been made without any appreciation of how the two mediums differ and what compromises would need to be made to make a simulcast palatable for both medium's audiences. No matter how JK and the organization try and spin it, though, firing Kelly and replacing him with a couple of lesser lights whose main qualifications are that they're willing to do two jobs for the price of one was a cheap and classless move.

  27. The news of JK leaving had a far stronger reaction than when the blues traded to Bolduc. That just goes to show how much the fans love him
