@Canucks de Vancouver

1. Moore has nobody to blame but himself, some 4th line nobody taking a gross headshot to the nhl's leading scorer. He ended his own career and it serves as a great lesson for all young players to learn from. Also the NHL shares in the blame as well, if they did their job and suspended Steve this would have easily been avoided. Hockey polices itself when it has to.

  2. I'm not a huge hockey fan, but the algorithm fed me your video and your title made me click. You did a good job telling a crazy story. I subbed.

  3. Apparently the Crow told the team that they were told to NOT go after this nobody – but instead attack Joe Sakic with a similar hit.

Bert obviously didnt see that way.

  4. Cheap shot another teams best player, then wont answer the bell. Moore should have dropped the gloves instead he got what he deserved. A retaliatory cheap shot.

  5. 1.5 million for "emotional trauma" is crazy. I understand suing for the career ending hit but getting your parents in on the deal too is a little much.

  6. This is why I’m not a fan of fighting in hockey as I get older. It’s pointless this ain’t UFC which I’m a fan of it has it place. People will say it stops unnecessary penalties and retaliation penalties but in reality if you can control yourself like a man who has control of his emotions you don’t need to fight. It sets a bad example for kids and none of the greats were fighters, why? It has no point to the end goal which is scoring and winning. Ya it’s cool but go watch ufc

  7. NHL did not step up to protect a superstar from a career minor leaguer. The Avs piled on their own teammate, breaking his neck, after Moore faked being knocked out and slumping to the ice. All of that could have been avoided if the league stepped in to protect the superstar.
Do you think the NBA would allow bench warmers to attack Lebron or MJ? Would the NFL allow Mahomes or Brady to be touched by practice squad guys? Of course not. No one pays to see minor league guys attack superstars. Moore and his team are solely responsible for his injury.

  8. Todd betting is an awesome player dude should have stood up instead of ran away like a bitch fuck Steve

  9. more got what was coming to him, he could have ended naslund career by that hit and just becuase he got knocked out and and went head first into the ice it's all bertuzzi fault, like yeah he hit him but it could have went the other way round, what goes around comes around

  10. I remember his as a kid and I was shocked someone would do this. I still like a tough physical hockey but this was way over the line. People were talking about it everywhere and this was one of the few times a LIFE TIME BAN was seemly justified.

  11. The biggest problem was the NHL not being the impartial judge in the whole affair. The NHL should've dished out punishment to Moore for the dirty hit resulting in bodily harm on Naslund and if the punishment was fair, it would've been case closed. Instead, they did absolutely NOTHING, leaving it up to the players to sort it out themselves. Bettman was an a$$hole.

  12. You have to live with your actions. Plain and simple.
Bertuzzi and Mcsorely both are forever known for bad decisions they made on the ice.

  13. They found that Todd Bertuzzi did start the whole thing but the piling on of Bertuzzi and a Canuck plus another Av is what broke his neck. It was terrible. Bertuzzi was never the same either.

  14. Honestly i dont think he intended to do great bodily harm to him, but it happened. I dont think bertuzzi is a bad person, but he took away the livelihood of another man who could never step on the ice again. The punnishment should have been bertuzzi should never play again in my opinion

  15. "I don't play like that" after playing exactly like that. "I'm not a mean-spirited person" after being a very mean-spirited person.

  16. You are incorrect. Bertuzzi wasn't their "tough guy". He was a player who could score goals and points but also could be physical and drop the gloves. Very poor choice of words

  17. I coached for years, and lesson one is always be aware and protect yourself at all times. ALL TIMES!!! Moore didn't even try to protect himself at all. It was disgusting on all sides to me. Sure Todd shouldn't have done it, but moore didn't even try to defend himself he's a stupid b*tch.

  18. I remember watching this live, I've hated the Bertuzzi name ever since. Name should be banned from hockey.

  19. I watched that game.. I watched every game that season the canucks played. They were a beast back then. . And that punch wouldn't have happened if the league just punished Moore for the nazzy hit. Bettman is a total canuck hater and he always wants them to lose, they never get the calls they need on the ice either. And that is consistent up until this past season..

  20. Mark Crawford(the dumbest coach in NHL history) deserves 99% of the blame for sending Big Bert after Moore over and over again!
