That deal looks like an absolute steal now. Blackwood has potential for large jump going into n next season.
Only major flaw I see left is the defensive core. Really seems to me that Necas and Girard are bout to be packaged out for something large.

draft day is a watever , the bigger issue is broadcasting rights going on right now and for the for seeable future thanks to the stupid deal they did with rogers ,tons and tons of ppl are canceling there subs to the sportsnet app(rogers) 30% increase in price and nothings changed and it went up 30% last year , they said they did it to be competitive while apparently the nfl packages are like $12 a month lol not $32,thye black out games u have no choice in broadcast feed ,and i think it was during the playoffs last year all of canada got booted off cause everyone was somehow not in canada watching lmao the nhl claims they wanna try and grow and reach new audiences etc well they jsut keep taking giant leaps backs wards when u cant even watch the games u want ,i live in alberta my dads an oilers fan , they were playing in vancouver , game was blacked out on the west channel and the game of course is blacked on for us on the pacific channel cause were in the west lmao this is on shaw network satellite which is rogers , amazing work they do over there lmao and we pay $116 a month for that garbage with maybe 30 channels 50 if u count the tsn and sportsnet ones which 8/10 of em u cant watch cause yep blacked out lmao this coming year will be the lowest viewings for the nhl unless thye can some how factor in the pirate sites cause every one is heading to the high seas

I'm not even watching this video, just here to say STOP. Bringing in Crosby is not the long term answer, and the rumors are just silly. Moving Girard is the only acceptable long term answer. The thing that everyone outside of Pittsburgh overlooks is that Crosby signed a new contract last summer knowing full-well that the team wasn't going to be good and that he wouldn't be seeing the playoffs anytime soon.

I just dont know how the avs make this trade work for them. It will be picks and roster players. You probably need to include girard, and if you do now there is a 2nd pairing d man they have to replace. I just dont see it happening. I also dont think its worth talking about until either Pittsburgh or Crosby talk about it

I named my dog Maks for MacKinnon and Makar. Going way back, I did have a dog, Mikko, but that was back in 2006 (well before Rantanen) and more along the lines of Kimmo Timonen and Niko Kapanen combo….just liked them as players.
A Crosby acquisition would be the only saving grace for CMac’s incompetency over the years.
