Do they trade or sign Bo Byram ? Ive heard rumours that St louis wants him with top 6 forward Jake Neighbours coming back to Buffalo. Trading Byram for a top 6 forward would easily make up for the loss of Peterka's scoring but it would weaken the D ! Id rather they sign Byram for 2 years at 7 or 7.5 million a year. This leads him to free agency and keeps the D nice and strong if Byram plays with Dahlin. 2nd pair Kesselring with Power and the third pair IMO would be a Timmins ( leafs fans that i know said he is solid and underrated and they were pissed that he was traded) with either Samuelsson( trade bait??) or Ryan Johnson. Bryson as 7th D .
Was puzzled with the Quinn contract, as I thought he wouldve just got a one year prove it deal. . Doan and Danforth are good additions to the bottom 6 . As you said a healthy Norris and Quinn should make up for the loss of Peterka's scoring . Thanks for the video

Defense was far worse than goalies. I can't count the amount of 3 on 1 breakaways they gave up.
They wont make the playoffs. They needed a top 6 forward so what do they do. They get rid of one of their top 6 forwards Now they need 2 top 6 forwards. Good luck with that. Tuch gone by the trade deadline. Tage and Dalin will want out after that. They should’ve told JJ to suck it up. He isnt going anywhere

Still need a forward. I think Doan approaches 20 goals and wouldn’t be surprised if he does score 20-22. I’d be willing to package Byram and Quinn for something but Quinn is so young yet. Without the 13 game winless streak which yes happened they were on a 90 point pace so maybe shoring up the D is better and a few more goals from underperformers than less from someone like McLeod who shot 20.6 % and should regress unless he shoots more this year. Bubble team.
They definitely haven’t done enough, it’s time to unload some of these prospects stuck in Rochester for some legitimate veteran talent. Someone like Rust.

That's not what the off season is for. It's about making your team better. Which I think they did. I think Danforth will be better than Lafferty, Timmins better than Clifton and we'll see about the Peterka trade but I like the trade on paper. And it didn't cost more than a 2nd round pick.
The lowest hanging fruit now is replacing Appert with someone who can coach the powerplay.
