    Should of gotten a better package for Silovs instead of a nothing pick and prospect whos barely even at the AHL level but this management trades have been questionable at best

    Skinner and pickard both suck so much.. silovs is way more agile and flexible than both spOilers' goalies. Silovs will be better than them in the NHL..

    Crazy how management talks down the value of their own players and talks up the opponent's players. To justify in some way, giving them away ?

    If Edmonton was willing to even consider Silovs, they're clearly desperate. He's not remotely better than Skinner or Pickard,

    What this means of course is that the Oilers offered even less than a 4th round pick and a reclaimation prospect to upgrade their goaltending. Proving once again they don't know what the hell is wrong with their own team. They deserve to lose.

    This was a mistake. Wondering if Silovs, who was signed for -2m for two years isn't better than at least one of your already NOT GOOD ENOUGH goalies was the reason you didn't make the trade? 

    Sound logic. The shot alone given the results the last two years is worth a 1st and 4th. But maybe that was the offer and getting an equivalent prospect in Stillman and a 4th while not also giving advantage to your division rival is the reason this didn't happen.

    That failed oilers trade for Schneider is what cemented them as a lottery team the next season and in back to back years drafted Draisaitl and then McDavid.

    It was good fortune for the oilers that the Canucks were so short sighted because instead of dealing with Schneider in division they instead have a decade plus of 2 of the greatest hockey players in the history of the game to deal with..
