DAK is a cap causality… If we didn't have Mikheyev and/or OEL on the books, we could've signed Pius Shooter… We lost some grit and muscle losing DJ, but it had to be done… All the best to him in TO!

Can thank Benning for this one folks. Nuck's would have close to 5mil in extra cap space but for the ghost of OEL clogging up their dead cap. It could have been worse, they could have had to attach a fourth to make him go away 2 years ago.

Was not the same after his diagnosis and treatment. Rather give Karlsson more minutes in the bottom six and at a fraction of the price. Good move by Canucks to unload the contract even though he was a fan favourite. If you want to win, you need overachievers not underachievers in this league.

This team has absolutely no direction. Trade Podkolzin to make room for Sprong only to cut Sprong. Sign Lank and Demko with no plan for Silovs so have to let him go for nothing. Trade for Kane to replace Boeser only to resign Boeser and now need to get rid of Dak and we still don't have a 2C. People seriously are going to owe Benning an apology at this rate. At least he brought us a good core even if he made horrible moves for supplementary pieces. Alvin is just gonna blow the whole thing up
It’s alllll about the cap space. It seemed like it was either Joshua or Blueger, and i think they’d have gotten even less for Blueger
