I think a lot of these player pivots are a result of having to drop JT Miller, and the Canucks front office scrambling to fill that void and keep the team competitive. I personally wouldn't form an opinion on the Dak trade or any of the pieces we picked up or dropped until we finally see what the Canucks pick up with the extra cap space (hoping for a competent 2C). If it's something like Jack Roslovic, then I would be disappointed
With Kuzmenko they re-signed him before the knee tocchet would be the coach, and he hated kuzy. And with Joshua, they resigned him since tocchet wanted him, and then he left the team
How alvin is still a GM is beyond me. Signs guys then quickly has to trade and move on from them.
Poorly handled internal conflicts.
They will sign roslivic as a 2nd C and everyone will be dissapointed and he will be traded aswell
kuzmenko they were right to get rid of him.
Pretty hilarious how so many fans are happy when management "moves off of mistakes quickly' yet they watched EP40 last season and a half and still make excuses to keep him around.
This was a terrible I won't even call it a trade because we basically gave them a true Canuck, for free.
No. Canucks didn't get hurt from these cleaning up trades. So it can't be written off as bad management.
Much better than benning, atleast we don't lock bottom players long term
I been telling y'all that Tocchet was a/the problem.
Alviin should have resigned Tocchet 1.5 years ago..That is Managements fault 100%
Then Tocchets dream Job opened up and he left.
Alviin should be fired for the Miller trade
Right after the Miller trade ..Bye bye
They gave up way too much for Hronek and Petterson
Rather have Horvat and Miller
Just look at our TOP6
Its not that good
Joshua has Grit and he will rebound well…15-20 Goals
Who thinks Chytil can last one hard hitting Playoff game?
I'm kinda looking forward next season without Tocchet…I don't necessarily blame management with Joshua's contract. It would have been great to see Dakota bounce back and I'm sure he will do well in TO, however it needed to be done in order to fill other spots within the roster. It would have been interesting to see a line with Kane and Sherwood on the wings with Joshua down the middle. I hope Foote is able to break away from last year's style of play. New coach, new season, and Hoglander is not in the doghouse anymore. I'm hoping to see him bounce back in a big way and I'm sure it would have been the same if Joshua stuck around. It's the messy part of the business that we're faced with unfortunately and his number was up.
Lafferty Pedersen kuzmenko
If Joshua could have gone back to playing center he'd still be around but they need money for top 6 center.
Trading horvat what trade that made this management look bad. They got horonek but they kept on trading for more def. Why? Now they have surplus and no damn centers. Seems like there more reactive then proactive. Make a mess and clean up after.
Tochett is the big problem. Now we are going to be great🎉
Nucks mgmt reminds me of my bipolar roommate. One day alls well, the next he’s doing dumb irritating crap.
Truthfully, all of this goes back to choosing Miller over Horvat. Should have kept Bo, he was our true leader. Everyone loves JT too much, they forget his bad passes and lack of defense. All of that being said, when we had JT, we needed to improve PK and defense and grit. Picked up too many 3rd and 4th liners and now we have no offense after losing JT. We can lose Dakota and maybe even O'Connor and spend some cash on an A tier Center and be a more rounded team. BUT, if they pick Horvat over Miller, our top two centers are Petey and Horvat and we look way better.
Looking at the comments
This market is the most delusional fan base in the league
Blaming Tocchet for a bad season the same Tocchet that won a Jack Adams.
Without Tocchet after the Miller trade this team should have been a lottery team
Team was getting to hard they like being being soft push overs.
