  1. It's about a two-and-a-half hour flight between Phoenix Sky Harbor and Dallas-Fort Worth or Dallas Love Field airport. It's not like it's a short hop from Sky Harbor to LAX (about 90 minutes). Now, when you're flying from Sky Harbor to, say, Philadelphia or Seattle, those 777's would be pretty sweet. (I did get to fly a 787 pre-pandemic between DFW and Chicago O'Hare in first class; that was a pretty sweet experience. Keep in mind DFW and ORD are both American Airlines hubs.)

Also, American stopped flying charters for several NFL teams a few years ago (Steelers used to use AA dating back to when Pittsburgh was a US Airways hub), but still do so for the Cowboys and Eagles (and, for some reason, I'm also thinking the Rams do as well; don't quote me on that one).

Most of the teams charter with United or Delta (most of the teams who choose United are near a UA hub – New York/Newark, Chicago O'Hare, Denver, Houston, SFO, Washington Dulles) though there are a few exceptions (Kansas City and Cleveland – though Cleveland used to be a United/Continental hub or focus city many years ago). It's the same with Delta, with most of their teams near current Delta hubs (Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis and Seattle come to mind) or former DL hubs (such as Cincinnati). The Ravens and Jags charter with Atlas Air and sometimes use 747s on those charters (I question the cost-effectiveness of a 747 flying from, say, Baltimore to Pittsburgh or Jacksonville to Nashville).

The Raiders famously used Hawaiian Airlines for their charters when they were in Oakland (which might've been the most random choice out there, but okay… ). The Seahawks also partnered with Hawaiian, but I think they recently changed to Delta.

  2. The Cardinals have fans? Asking from Scottsdale.

It's amazing that a team whose regular season games cost less than a second tier soccer team whose stadium is literally a parking lot next to the airport has their own plane.

  3. Cardinals desperate to build fan base. I live in AZ, and with all the transplants here, people are fans of the team where they came from. When certain teams play the Cards, half the stadium is visiting fans.

  4. The bidwells are a joke, trying anything to recover from giving Cliff and their former alcoholic gm a massive extension before firing both the next year. Always gouging the fans for everything. I was praying the nfl would make them sell the team after all the controversy with the oline coach sexual assault (which was actually the gm), but that all was swept under the rug. The only worse owners I've dealt with as a fan are the spanos family.

  5. If this offering doesn't do well … wanna bet they'll be thinken about unloading 1 or more > would be interesting to hear what the justification is behind having access to 5 777's?

  6. 6 grand and you don't even get to meet the players 🤣🤣🤣 all for a team that haven't won a conference in 13 years and haven't won their division in 10. How much are real teams going to charge?

  7. As someone who's done a "team experience", the low end on this is a STEAL! Back in 2008, it was $700/each to do a Red Sox Destinations package. NO airfare, but included 3 nights at a "decent hotel, NOT the team hotel", a VIP tour of the park, authentic road jersey with no number/name, a lunch/meet/greet with a "current or former player", was Mike Lowell. and a few other team swag items. Oh yeah, that $700/each price did NOT include the hotel, I had Marriott points, so I made my own reservation at the same hotel for free. $2500 and it INCLUDES airfare, food/drinks on the plane? A game ticket, a tailgate and the team hotel? Nice! I figured ALL the major sports teams had their own plane by now. I know the Red Sox still charter a JetBlue plane…but in reality, it probably is/would be cheaper for them to fly their own fleet. Like the Patriots letting the Dodgers rent their plane for the ride home last October from NY. I enjoyed seeing the Patriots plane in LA! HAHA. Sorry…Red Sox/Patriots fan humor.

  8. Wow. What is a strategy or concept to generate income for the cards? If it works, will others teams and sports copy the model?

Do planes have a coach section? I thought it was called the economy seating.

Does the cost include transport to and from the stadium from the hotel?

  9. This is good contingency planning for an occasion where the team plane gets held up for a discovered technical fault. Team can switch to the fan plane and go. Whatever they come up with to re-accommodate or refund the fans won’t have game implications. Better to have two planes ready for the mission than one.

  10. IS $2,000/PERSON FOR EVERYTHING INCLUDED… ACTUALLY A GOOD DEAL?
