  1. I think sports journalists needs to stop looking for 13 year olds that they can hype as “generational talents”. That’s a ridiculous amount of pressure to put on a teenager. In the case of Bedard, I think he would been better served in the long term if he had been drafted 2nd overall. He’ll have a fine career, regardless.
Thank you for saying “whole other”, rather than “whole nother”. That’s a pro move.

  2. calm down Frondell will make Bedard the superstar you've been waiting for, Trust the Swede 😉
Look at OVI… Bäckström was there for him.

Bedard gonna be big… Rome wasn't built in a day.

Not a fan of Black Hawks at all but they gonna get the Cup sooner than you think

  3. The problem with the generational label is that people use it a couple times a decade. That’s how often a player comes along that everyone knows is a future HOF player who some will argue is a once a generation player. But who among ovechkin and Crosby was once a generation? What about Matthew’s and mcdavid. All of these players are Top picks that lived up to their hype. Which one is the generational talent? No matter who you say others will disagree. Bedard is likely to live up to his hype and be viewed just like these other players in 10-15 years. Is he “The GOAT” probably not. But neither was any of those other players.

  4. the media and social media are waaaaayyyyyyyy to quick to anoint The Next One!!! they are good hockey players, but they haven't proven anything!!! Bedard has a great shot, but is it better than OV or MacKinnon or Draisaitl? No! not even close. let the kid play and learn and in 15 years you can grade him!! Absolutely ridiculous, media are morons!!!

  5. Great video bro, loved the analysis on his shot, I never realized how hard he can release it in such tight spaces. I haven't been blown away by him yet, but the potential is obviously there. He needs an elite passer to take advantage of his ability to get open, and that quick shot.

  6. As the video says, this will be year we find out if Bedard is a generational talent or merely another superstar player. Bedard's size and the style of play in the NHL leads me to believe he will be a superstar but not generational.

  7. from the start I thought he was over hyped. It doesn't help that he's the only really good player on the Blackhawks lol.

  8. The kids had a couple of screamer seasons on one of the worst teams in league history haha give him some decent line mates and some more time. He's got all the building blocks of an elite player.

  9. As a Blues fan, I sure wish lol. He looks incredible imo, just stuck on a trash team at the moment. And he can’t even drink yet, I think he’ll be just fine

  10. He needs to get off Chicago, imagine what we'd be seeing if he was on a cup contender team where he had the proper support.

  11. Hockey isn’t basketball. One good player isn’t going to carry a group of plugs. Ask Connor McDavid, he has a solid team around him and still nothing. Hockey is hard

  12. He would be foolish to tie his wagon to the horrendous management team that the hawks currently have,he's years away from a competitive team, why waste his time??

  13. i think both him and macklin are generational, it’ll be sid vs ovi all over again and i guess what mcdavid vs matthews was supposed to be

  14. Many 1st overall pick doesn’t actually work out and some take a few years to reach their potential, hopefully he’ll reach his potential in a few years. McDavid reached his potential early in his career but Colorados MacKinnon took a few years to reach his potential. Patience is key and they need to surround him with better teammates.

  15. The league is far too talented to expect one player as a 18-20 year old player to carry a weak team! It's completely ridiculous to expect one player to carry a team that's as weak as Chicago right now!

  16. Goals like that shouldn't count. Carrying the puck on your stick isn't hockey. More like lacrosse.

  17. Not sure what people expect, but I am sure none of those who criticize him had accomplished anything at all by the time they were 20.

  18. Love the videos! Would be awesome if you did a video about being a defensive defencemen. It could be a video about a specific guy like Jacob Slavin or you could make a video titled something like “unsung heroes” and just talk about what it takes to become a modern day shut down d man. Just a suggestion, love the videos keep up the great work!

  19. Is he bad, absolutely not. He's a great player, but he's not generational talent at all.

  20. As a Hawks fan I can say that our team sucked, he stats are actually pretty impressive for how bad our team was
