Joshua was crap last year. Quit using cancer as an excuse. He was awful.

If the Canucks had a choice, they would love to have kept Dak, but you can't go into the next season without signing a 2-3c and gambling on Filip Cheeto playing a full season. The consequence of that action seems like it would p!ss off Hughes from yet another wasted season…
There's obviously reasons for why he took so long to make the NHL. I find it odd that the pundits are quick to call Brock's 40 goal season an 'outlier', but DJ's ONE 'decent' season wasn't?? He was moved to clear cap because he wasn't worth the $$. Best of luck to him.

They mentioned during the show of Canucks trading players who fall off, why do we still have Nils Hoglander? Major drop in performance! Don’t hold your breath, he had his career year. He is 3 million, time to trade and get a 4th round like Joshua and Silovs.
Im at the point where i say fuckin ship it for McTavish. I'm good with trading Lekkerimaki, Hoglander, Willander, Mancini, Debrusk, D Petey, Cootes, Chytil, 1st rounders, and 2nd rounders. Obviously not all of them, but some combination of them and i wouldn't even blink.

Just some insight into Cancer treatments since I'm personally dealing with Stage IV Prostate Cancer. Testicular Cancer is a hard one to deal with because your testicles produce testosterone, which you need for muscle strength. Usually, the protocol is to remove the testicle and combine radiation to the area around it. The also tend to use ADT treatment which shuts off your testosterone production to ensure that the cancer doesn't spread to places like his Prostate. This treatment is only used for around six months in the case of that type of cancer, but cancer feeds on sugar and hormones like testosterone. Once they're sure it hasn't spread they usually stop the ADT, but he will likely need testosterone injections to normalize the levels. They normally don't like giving those until a couple of years after the original treatment, for fear of triggering the cancer to come back. It's a balancing act as to how cautious his medical team will be. The fact that he even attempted to play last season was a huge undertaking by him, since the treatments will leave him exhausted and feeling weak. We don't know what exact treatments he actually had because it varies, but it was likely a combination of surgery and radiation. It's enough of a worry that the team might be concerned about his long term viability of still being a hard hitting aggressive player. He did show up for the Playoffs and did well, so it's sad to see them move off him. I'm not sure they'll get anything better with the cap space they have. It's clear that Joshua is a fighter, and loved playing in Van, so I wish him well in Toronto.
