    The management of the Red Wings has a lot to do, and I respect their guidance and mentoring the young players. However, the fans want the playoffs as the locus of processing the young players. You know, experiences in the playoffs before extending contracts.
    I get that framework of talking points. Yet, the important point, for extending sooner, is Simon not being distracted by the dollars so he can focus on team play more than his individual aspects. This is perhaps a lost trait in the cap era that nicklas🎉Lidstrom has in the skillset, and it would guide Simon Edvinsson because his invidual contributions will come.
    I am on the sooner side of the discussion. Simon's contributions to team playis where I am looking forward.

    The sooner we get him signed the better. Not getting Raymond and Seider done sooner really affected our ability to sign free agents in 2024. I'd hate for us not to be able to make a swing in free agency for the third year in a row.

    I personally think that Steve needs to sign him ASAP. Reason why I say that, is if you wait till next year when his ELC is done he will end up paying more especially if Simon breaks out this following year. He did that with Moe and razor he waited till the last minute and then he ended up paying way more. We're if you would have stopped sorry for the phrase pussy footing around and would have reside both of them before their contracts were pretty much up he probably would have been able to get them for cheaper. Especially Moe, but anyway that's just my tidbit on the situation lol Great show is always guys and stay frosty
