    I don't think we need sportscaster anymore. I would rather just listen to the stadium announcer and listen like I'm at the ball game. We don't need someone to tell us what just happened as the broadcasting and TV have become so clear this is an outdated profession. I really like the Amazon stats broadcast and when it shows the routes and probabilities.

    I"m in the streaming space over on Twitch, and my #1 piece of advice for people there is start now, just like you say. Nothing make more difference than just being comfortable on camera and on mic, because if you're comfortable with yourself, than other people will be comfortable with you, whatever it is you do or whatever your content. If you wait for "better equipment" you're losing out on months and years of practice you can't get back.

    I’m a boomer, raised on baseball on the radio. I still listen to baseball on the radio, also some other sports.

    I wouldn't want your job. No doubt most of the athletes you deal with are fine people. But there's this fairly large subset that comes across as entitled, spolied, demanding, and outright rude. 

    I once met Gordie Howe at an event. He signed autographs for the kids. I was 8 and in awe that I could actually reach out and touch Mr Hockey. He signed something for every kid and took a few seconds to converse with each one of us. He made us feel like a million bucks because he acted like he cared… and this was the Babe Ruth of his sport for his generation. I'll go to my grave (I'm 68) with that fond memory. Gordie made me a hockey fan for life.
