1. All three of those trades are absolutely ridiculous, especially the trade with Montreal. If Kadri accepted any trade, it would have to be closer to his home in Ontario, so the ducks would be out.

  2. Flyers are rebuilding so why would they trade a 1st rd pick in a loaded draft for a 34 yr old center? Mason McTavish? Mason McTavish? LOLOLOL. What moron wrote that awful article?

  3. I think Carolina is a really good option. They have enough cap space to fit Kadri, and they need a 2C to replace Kotkaniemi who just hasn’t been cutting it, as well as some more grit and bite.

  4. I agree Mark, the Philly deal makes no sense.

I think the return from Montreal is way too light if we take on Price's contract and I don't think Newhook is much of an enticement. From the scouting reports I have read Hage is a top-six or bust player who has a lot to work on before he is even close to the NHL. Thanks (mostly) to Mathieu Paridis.

I would do the McTavish deal for sure.

PS. I saw Dallas moved Dumba to clear cap space. Razzy destination? lol Sorry I had to do it. 😉

  5. Hey I have a great idea. The Flames nned more scoring, so lets reade away our highest point getter. BRILLIANT IDEA. Give your head a shake, unless its an immidiate improvement and futures is the only way I can see Conroy giving away out top dog. Kadri is a rockstar and if we could , should make this man a forever Flame. Keep him around even after he is done playing, I see him as a potential oaching or somekind of management or player development. He is a gamer and steady hard working journyman, an Ideal all around Player, with an edge. I always said since he entered the leadue, you only hate him if he's not on your team. Like Tchuck, Bennet, Avery, MArchnt. etc. Perry

  6. Old leather cracks, new shoes need to be broken in. Keep one pair that doesn't age in case we get blisters. Kadri is non negotiable.

  7. Nothing makes more sense than getting Micheal Hage. Hage has star potential. Montreal has the more advanced depth in their roster to make a push. JUST WANT A GOOD YOUNG PLAYER FOR THESE

  8. I think Carolina or Philadelphia would make sense as destinations for a Kadri trade, as both teams could use a proven 2C. That said, if the Anaheim trade for McTavish is available, I’d be keen on making it. Trading Kadri, Andersson, and Coleman sooner rather than later will really help us tank for McKenna (as we really lack that elite end forward for the future). I would additionally look at the potential of moving on guys like Weegar, Huberdeau (taking back 1 or 2 overpaid players on shorter term with a sweetener, or retaining some of his money), and even look at the possibility of moving Backlund, and Sharangovich, if the returns are worthwhile. Competing for a wildcard spot to get bounced in the first round is not worth it, when we need to build through the draft for the next few years (and tanking will really help consolidate some top end talent).

  9. Hey Mark, it’s been a minute. The Flame’s need a top line! Kadri is part of that. Huberdeau, Kadri and a top right winger for a first line. Anderson for a top right winger. Go Flames Go!!!

  10. McTavish would be a good start…..Newhook – No ……. as far as the Toronto Maple Leafs go, I would just tell them, don’t even call me with a trade offer unless your offer starts with Easton Cowan.

  11. Kadri is way more productive for the Calgary flames than trading him.
The Ducks should pay with McTavish and a first round pick. Which is what Calgary paid for Kadri! ( Monahan and a First round pick)

  12. Kadri should bring slightly more than a 2026 first round pick, despite looking like a great draft. Not sure why Philly would do this? Aren’t they rebuilding? I like the potential of Hage so why would Montreal do that? Another question is. What is Mactavish? I am not sure he is a 1C. Honestly, I feel the last thing we need is to bring in another roster player. We need to trade our veterans, give our young guys a chance to play, and add to our prospect and picks pool.

  13. If the flames are talking about trading Kadri then I think if Anaheim is dangling McTavish as coming our way we grab it. While trading Kadri may cost us short term the repercussions over the long haul would definitely fuel the rebuild quicker.

  14. Honestly, people got to accept we are not trading away (Kadri, Coleman, Backlund, etc) whether you'd like to see it or not. I'm not opposed to trading any of those guys either, but lets be real conroy has been transparent about his plan since the start; they will NOT fully rebuild or tear it down. They have even said their rebuilding whilst trying to make the playoffs and what not. And no matter what gm is in place, that's the mandate from owenership.

Just my two cents: ppl got to be more realistic then thinking they will trade every single veteran on the team.

  15. I can 💯 confirm the Kadri being traded is bull shit!!! Kadri is happy in Calgary and unless things totally fall off he plans to stay here.. If Kadri ever goes on the block it will be his choice and Craig will do everything to accommodate Kadri.. This is a Toronto media BS they keep running there mouths they will lose Matthews next WATCH..

  16. The ducks trade for McTavish all day. This is exactly the type of rebuilding they need to do to help them long term.

  17. Kadri isn’t going anywhere. He likes playing in Calgary and has a no trade clause. I don’t know why crap like this is even being talked about.
Writers making up stuff to try and stay relevant during a slow news cycle.
I heard from anonymous sources that Edmonton wants Kadri and is willing to offer McDavid🙄
These writers coming up with “trade proposals” are clowns. 🤡 honk!

  18. "Conroy is trying to trade Kadri and Andersson for McDavid"

Gotta love the dog days of summer for the NHL.

  19. Mason McTavish would be a yes. He's not over the moon. likly should not have gone where he did in his draft, but he's young, and plays center. His numbers don't turn heads, but he's solid. All things considered, it would be a good trade for both clubs.
