  1. Its difficult to say hard rebuild when you got a guy like wolf that may drag you to the playoffs anyways 🤷‍♂️

  2. Making moves isn’t always a good thing, it’s about making the right ones.

  3. There was a moment when I thought it was a deeper rebuild but it seems like that changed or I was wrong, etc. Because Conroy made it clear during the season that they were not, at that point, going to tear down. Still no indication of a significant teardown. Even trading Andersson, alone, is not a teardown

  4. Rhett, Calgary has wolf. Yes, yes we are making the playoffs. I know we Calgarians have a hard time believing in good things but we got one 😅😅😅

  5. Ok 💯 agree and couldn't agree more,
This team just has 0 direction. Also agree they make moves that just cement them in the middle, they aren't willing to do anything bold either way that will change the trajectory of this team moving forward. I'd like to be hopeful, but it looks like we are headed for another year of being right in the middle.

  6. Doesn't matter who they put as GM. The ownership will never allow a full rebuild. A tanking team doesn't put butts in the seats but being mid and giving the impression you have a chance at the playoffs equals a full dome. They will never go back to the young guns days when they almost moved. Thats not even factoring in the shitty tax, cold weather and having your income in CAD but paying out in USD. Might as well be the Pittsburgh Pirates

  7. They are maximizing their assets on players that don't want to be here. They're being smart IMO. AND, they finished 2 pts behind fla FFS!

  8. You’re mad about a rebuild, yet suggesting they move everyone out of the team. What would you call that?

Moving Kadri would be dumb as nails, or Weegar for that matter. Team can’t build if you’re constantly moving people.

  9. They just aren't a good team, they have flashes of good hockey, but on average their middle of the road hockey club.Nice the flames get a new arena but that doesn't translate to really good NHLrs flocking to a small market city.

  10. We weren’t close last year because a few vets. It was all Wolf. Look at Nashville they have a lot of vets and a lot better vets than the Flames and they were a disaster because Saros wasn’t as good as he usually is. They were bottom 5 offensively there isn’t much room to go down from there. The only difference between them and the bottom 5 teams is goaltending

  11. Wolf can take a tank year and next year is THE year to tank, if we snag a good forward at next years draft, we can start to reload and build up around an actually talented young group instead of whatever this middle of the pack bullshit is, plus it’ll give the farm team more minutes, if we are out of contention.

  12. Rhett is right once again. The flames are without direction. They don’t know what they are doing. They should go full on rebuild like the Canadiens. Look how well it went for the Caps and their soft rebuild, they got smoked in the first round. Same with St Louis. On the other hand, the Canadiens with their full rebuild looks like a dynasty in the making

  13. A soft rebuild lol. The Oilers killed the flames in the playoffs and sent your team packing. You’re at a full rebuild lol

  14. I would not wanna be s flames fan right now at all worst possible position in the whole nhl no direction and are gonna wait to long to trade guys for there lowest value unfortunate

  15. I think they want to assess where they are this year with Corronato and Parekh a year older That might not be the right call but I think that they think that they could be a wild card team right or wrong. I dont think they are lmao

  16. We shouldnt be decent for at least 3 or 4 years get rid of kadri coleman backlund leave weegar here and get rid of huberdeau

  17. So lets wait till rasmus etc in last yr of deal till lastin to get the least they can get for them ffs just like hughes holding out for more for savard anderson etc then getting nothing im a habs fan 45 yrs but hughes highly overated even though i like the ballsy dobson trade still dach and newhook looking bad waited too long to trade allen also

  18. You guys sound like what Detroit were saying in the last 2 years of Holland dictatorship. Everyone asking for a teardown and he signs old vets to keep the playoff streak alive…

  19. Over-reacting boys.
This free agency is not the be all and end of everything hockey.
Conroy has cap space and some decent players that are tradeable without talking mass exodus of Coleman, Kadre, Anderson and Weegar .
For what? A high draft pick?
    No.
Conroy can still be beating the bushes for the right trade or trades when the right opportunity arises.
There are young guys coming that could break into the lineup and others that might be ready to shine.
You dont toss away the heart of the team just so you can say that you did something bold.
    Relax

  20. Didn't the flames ship house like 2x already? They gunna do it again? They almost made playoffs, They got a great goalie and great young crop… they do have to be patient. They can't just keep retooling and rebuilding.

  21. I would trust the front office before trusting the opinion of a couple dudes who spout bullshit opinions all day.

  22. They have so many young guys, there is zero chemistry built. That is what rebuilding is, rebuilding chemistry, just trading for the sake of trading isn’t doing anything. This team needs to just chill and let their guys gel until the new arena opens, by then if all goes to plan we should have a really decent chemistry filled team, but not if we keep dumping half our team for draft picks and nothing else every year, like so many people seem to think we should do. Rasmus could have come along for the ride, but he wants too much money, so he has to go, but it’s not anything other than that. It’s the same deal with Vlader, he just wanted too much money.

  23. Pinder with his pin head takes LOL the way he talks bout running a team, sounds like he'll never has success LOL tuguye
