I'm on the fence if i'll get NHL 26 or not, or even wait till the 50%+ discount if not wait till May. I got xbox gamepass so at the very least i'll make up my mind during my 10 hour free trial. Compared to 24 I thought 25 was a step in the right direction, but EA also makes very tiny steps and NHL 25 happened to get a game breaking bug in franchise mode patched in for 1-2 months until they patched the fix for it. If I do get it i'll probably spend 300ish hours on it (thats around the norm for me). I still find the games to be a combination of fun and disappointing, since well it's hockey, but it could be so much better than what we've been getting

Arena games are frustrating. Vegas owner just told the mayor that he would pay for the Arena, just get out of the way. It worked. Owners that want public money (Calgary, Ottawa) are finding resistance is strong. Vancouver can't get a practice facility, as politics is poisonous. good luck to that.
NHL 24 is the only game I play as of late. I love the NHL game and I’m pretty good at it. I don’t have NHL 25 because that’s only available for the new consoles and I don’t have 700 dollars to buy a new console to play NHL 25. So…that’s annoying. Then THG is right…I wish EA just did updates and didn’t come out with a new game every single new. The worst part is that the games get worse every year too. You would think a new game would be better…not with EA. So I love the game but I wish they had some competition in the market. For instance 2K making NHL games again. I’m not even sure why they stopped. So…I’m stuck playing NHL 24 because I can’t afford a new system which is very annoying
I’m a Blues fan, but I’m really stoked to hear about the progress of the Sens, and what looks like more stability and commitment to the team by ownership. I hate to see ANY fanbase lose their team (even rivals), so these moves are encouraging. Looking forward to the return of successful Sens teams (and maybe see Capt. Brady win a Cup)…Congrats Ottawa!
The Sens originally wanted to be at Lebreton Flats when they came into the league, but the NCC ( led by Chair Jean Piggot) told them a cold day in hell

Stopping play the EA hockey games after they got rid of the buttons and made both joysticks control the players.

The fact that NHL 26 is not going to Switch 2 makes it a non buy. I was really hoping after Madden and FC that EA would finally give me the ability to play hockey on the go
Well if they are going to build a "district" (not sure why, because Ottawa already has a district, its called downtown Ottawa but I digress) they are going to need to keep that place hopping, so the Sens should move their AHL team in there like they do in other cities. Not like Ottawa has an NBA team to compete with or anything.

I hope they succeed at Lebreton Flats. There is no reliable transportation to the site. Public Transport in Ottawa is horrible!!!!! People who live in Downtown Ottawa are not hockey fans!! I’ve lived here for my entire life 69 years and hockey fans live either out of town or in the suburbs.

I quit playing NHL games not because of NHL game even though the NHL games have sucked for years. It’s more the price of the consoles now like the new PlayStation fives and Xbox one x are almost the same price once you buy a game and a couple controllers they’re almost the pricer then a computer.
When are the yotes getting their arena.
The new Sens arena will do so much for that part of the city which is poised for a lot of change as it is. It'll also be way better for fans, staff and players to be in a central location.
Fun fact: that Brent Johnson goalie also played for the Capitals at one point.

I do play the yearly NHL mainly just cause my mind doesn't sit right if I dont have the "newest one" but I wait at least a couple months post release when at least the launch bugs are fixed, roster updates are set but most importantly, when it's almost always 50 percent off during Black Friday or Holiday deal lol
Actually, 8/10 is the anniversary of the branding and naming of the Avs. The agreement to purchase and move the Nordiques was announced in May 1995, and finalized 7/1. But because of the branding, we could still consider yesterday the Avs’ birthday.

6:42 funnily enough he was a Caps goalie for 4 years and is currently an analyst for their TV broadcasts. I can't see them signing this guy though. He played ECHL and AHL after college last season and neither was for the Stingrays or the Bears. You would think if he had any intention of signing with them or if they had any intention of signing him they would've done so before that.

with the nhl games, I tend to wait 2 or 3 months till it goes on sale for like 20 quid or till it gets offered for 'free' thru playstation plus, never pay full price for these yearly sports titles and the nhl games can be fun, love the fantasy drafts.

The Sens desperately needed a new arena. The one in Kanata is so far from downtown Ottawa that the equivalent would be having the Canucks' arena in Chilliwack. Console games lost me the moment they decided I also needed to pay subscription fees after shelling out for the game console and the games.
