All this hype regarding Cowen! In my opinion he is a 3rd line player until he proves otherwise. This coming season, the Leafs need to give him a shot at making the Regular Season lineup, by playing him in the first 5 -10 games? Transitioning from the CHL to the NHL is a huge and challenging step for most young players. If Easton plays well defensively and produces offensively, to me, he should be a lock for a spot on the Leafs roster moving forward. Playing for the Marlies, would not hinder his career in anyway, also?

Zacha just doesn't fill the leafs need. You don't need a 2C, even if you think outside of faceoffs tavares can't play the other roles of a center well, his overall play is still above that of an average 2C. Leafs need a winger, preferably right, who is a complete player, or can at least put up consistent points.
If tre trades cowan for zacha, he needs to be fired on the spot. If youre trading cowan, you need to be getting a bonafide top 6. Zacha is a 3rd liner
