  1. This is going to be great for the team, fans, and the city in general! It'll take a while to get built, but i can't wait to attend games at the new arena!

  2. You know if you dig into the details (assessments, lawyers, environmental stuff etc.. etc..) of all the things that had to happen for the sale, it's hardly surprising it took this long to work it all out. If you asked me it was faster than expected I thought October / November at the earliest.

  3. if you have never lived in the City of Ottawa you don't have a clue about the number of permits this grifting
government is going to throw at you Ottawa is a money grab at every turn ,Ask Nepean or Kanata

  4. When you're building the arena right on LRT you don't need huge places for parking. That's why it's more convenient to have a centralized or downtown location

  5. The earliest I see a new arena being built is 10 years given that the NCC is involved. And that is being optimistic the NCC moves at lightning speed (for them)

  6. I’m excited for the new digs but I grew up two blocks from the site and feel for the locals that live around there it’s going to be a shitshow on game days.

  7. It is going to be entertaining to watch our transit system struggle to accommodate something like this. 😅

  8. There are two parking garages side by side in Chicago that are about 15 stories tall and they are breathtaking. They look like two stacks of dishes. Something like that would hold a lot of cars and not take up a lot of land.
