I don't blame DeBrusk at all, he has been thrown under the bus a few times by Cassidy who is a horrible coach and should be gone along with Sweeney an idiot GM. If we do trade JDB I prefer it as part of a package for one of Hertl, Fiala, Horvat, Miller, Boeser or Forsberg someone like that. If he did go to Edmonton his hometown, then Yamamoto and McLeod as a package return would be decent.
Bruins need a whole new front office IMO, people come here and their offense falls off a cliff

DeBrusk is fairly useless 80% of the time
This is too bad … he seems like a really nice kid who I’ve heard is a great locker room guy. But, there’s only so many ways to tell a player that they need to work harder, & only so many times you can watch the guy either not do it, or not get it, before both parties run out of patience! It’ll be sad to see him go (again, he’s a really nice guy), but sometimes it’s best to cut your losses & move forward before things get even worse. (Wow, that 2015 draft hurts more & more by the day … especially since everyone thought DeBrusk was the 1 salvageable pick.)
About time they do something about jd…. Since being injured he is so scared being on the ice… Always giving puck aways. No help in the corners at all ( will never be there first on the pick 75 % of the time ) i liked

It's lame at this point that DeBrusk has had this much control over his career. Successfully played hardball got a contract for well more than he deserved at the time. Hasn't shown and signs of living up to it. And now here you are where he's trying to dictate his way out of town too. Lame. Kid clearly has an awfully high opinion of himself. They shouldn't have protected him in the expansion. Should have tried to work a deal to get Seattle to take him and should have held on too Lauzon. So now after another slow start what are you going to get for him? A third, a middling prospect, or another problem contract back? That sucks. But you should get something. You aren't going to qualify him at 4.1m so he's essentially a rental at this point anyway. Get something for him. Anything for him. Rumor is calgary is interested if Calgary was willing to eat enough of Monahan's contract to make it even up money wise I'd be willing to take a gamble on Monahan, or if Calgary was willing to eat the 50% max on Lucic's contract I think Lucic brings you a lot more for 3m than DeBrusk at 3.65 (aav he's actually getting paid 4.85).
DeBust will be no loss. He skates hard but apart from the odd shade of brilliance he isn’t a good hockey player in the long run. To think that Sweeney past on Barzal and took DeBust. Sweeney needs to go before DeBust though.
3.5 million and he cannot show up everyday for work. Spoiled millionaires, so many on this team. They will never have to work another day in their lives.
I hate to see DeBrusk go, but in that case I’d trade him to Calgary to get Milan Lucic back to Boston (LIKE I WANTED!).
If a player doesn't want to be on the team move him out before he becomes a cancer for the rest of the team
He knows nobody wants him, right? If anyone wanted him, he wouldn’t have had to request a trade, he would’ve been gone.
He needs to move on and be a part of another team. Grow and contribute differently.
They will trade him for another under achieving player or a 3rd round choice.
Poor little rich kid. Coach calls him out for effort and sits him. the snowflake was offended and wants to be traded.
This BB's drafted him helped him along into the NHL. IF you are not worthy of top line you don't get on one.
Who's fault is it he fell to the bottom of the BB's depth chart. The coach? Now he wants to give a better effort somewhere else.
Here is the reason Jake DeBrusk has become disenchanted with the Bruins. 2018-19 season he scores 27 Goals. very promising for a second year player. His rookie contract was up, and the Bruins throw him some crumbs, while giving Charlie Coyle 6+Million dollars a year for his sensational 12 goal season. Then Coyle had that major breakout season scoring 16 goals to just while DeBrusk only scored 19 goals. To be honest, If I was Marchand or Pastrnak I would be looking for greener pastures as well. They are the two most grossly under paid players in the NHL History.

You can tell if he's trying or not on any given day. Whether he scores or not I just want him to give it his all. It looks like an attitude problem honestly.
a follow up to my rant on Jake, I still do not see Jake as the answer for the badly needed offense on this team, but I do admit when I am wrong. JD showed some guts throughout the series against the Canes and deserves credit for his efforts. I wish Cassidy was smart enough to give him a shot at center, as I said he is a savvy passer and with his size he could be load to deal with in the faceoff circle. I would trade him anyway because that's his desire. But make dam sure I didn't let Donnie give him away.
