Hopefully they trade for a better goaltender than Skinner that isn’t from the Red Wings. In the future, Connor Ungar and Samuel Jonsson will both become the main tandem in Edmonton in the future.

Better goalies is needed, they can beat the west but the finales is still a pain for them.
the problem is they have good enough goalies for the regular season but they still don't have a reliable playoff goalie to get them over the hump a guy who can make the big save when the team needs it in the playoffs

I’d rather have them lose in the finals then not make the playoffs. And I know for some they would say that’s worse but as an oilers fan I got to watch hockey late into summer and that’s awesome. The most fun I’ve had as an Oilers fan was these last two years. The city gets going the the games are fun and we have that chance last year they lost in 7 this year it was in 6 but they had that chance there closer then ever and it’s been a blast for me as a fan. We can talk about them having to fix this and that and I’m over here thinking guys they made the finals two years in a row I don’t think they have to fix much they just have to finish. Whatever this year brings I hope they make it back if they don’t then oh well I’ll still be here to cheer them on.

The Oilers traded for Howard to play on McDavid or Draisaitls wing he will 100% be playing in the top 6 no chance podz gets many top 6 mins this season he'll most likely be on the 3rd or 4th line with Howard & Savoie switching out those top 6 mins on the wings with McDavid & Drai.

So, third time's a charm? I feel the depth on the wings is still lackluster and the goaltending is still a question mark in the big time. Definitely still a playoff team but a 3rd finals appearance? I'm not as sure. 2nd in the Pacific with 102-107 points.

Oilers D needs to learn how to take the body and prevent opposing forwards from skating to wherever they want. Florida forwards did just that in the finals
