  1. The atlantic will be a tighter groupe. The top 3 teams will loose points because the bottom 4 are stronger. so they will loose points will the bottom will gain points.

  2. I get that some teams have much less chances than others but there's not a single team in this division where it's completely insane to say they could make the playoffs.

Can't say that about the Metro (Flyers, Penguins) or the Central (Blackhawks) or the Pacific (Sharks, Ducks, Kraken).

This is why I think it's the best division in hockey.

  3. Keep in mind how the Olympics will affect the teams making a push for the cup. The cup winner in my opinion will come out of the west this year. Yes I know how deep florida is but they will not 3peat. I'm sorry to break the hearts of cats fans. The reality is that other teams will not just lay down for the cats to win again.

  4. Atlantic is just competitive as hell. The strongest Div in the NHL.
Leafs, TBL and FLA are still contenders, Habs, Sens, DET, BUF are all young upcoming teams with tons of talent.
And BOS had a down year last season, Swayman alone bouncing back brings them into playoff contention.
Only 5 teams can make it.

  5. I've been a hockey fan, specifically a Red Wings fan, for about 35.years now, and I've never understood how sports media has ALWAYS been biased against the Wings. This entire video, the word Detroit was said 1 time, lumped in with mention of Buffalo and Boston, and they then proceeded to discuss Buffalo and Boston. They discussed every single team in the Atlantic EXCEPT Detroit, including the ones below the Wings. This has gone on for decades, even going back to Detroit's glory days. National tv always favored or spoke with bias in favor of whatever team was up against Detroit on any given night. So this video, and shows of old, can't even say it's because Detroit is so bad, because they talk at length about teams that are worse. What gives???

  6. The team in the Atlantic that is due for a deep playoff run is Montreal and that’s a team that has giving Florida fits. But I wouldn’t be surprised if FL still representing the East.
Call me crazy but I think the Blues are the dark horse out in the west.

  7. I love it when they constantly underrate the Habs and are proven wrong every year. Watch out! These guys don’t know shite

  8. I'm taking the lack of discussion about the Wings, Sabres, and Bruins as a lack of confidence any of them having a shot at making the playoffs this year.
    I disagree!

  9. Maybe next season hire some former players that arent complete mouth breathers like Rupp. Brian Lawton always provided great insights.

  10. The Habs added Dobson , Demidov and Bolduc . The Habs are going to be way better this season just watch there going to pass the Sens for sure! There going to be fighting for 3rd with the leafs

  11. Detroit under performed last season and should be better this year besides the fact they added some good pieces. I wont be surprised if they sneak into the playoffs especially if montreal and ottawa cant find their magic again

  12. No Detroit!!!! Keep wasting time talking about Buffalo and Boston! 🤣 You guys are the typical East Coast media! What a joke!!!

  13. Atlantic is probably the hardest to predict. 1st to last, they are all good teams. A lot of good teams that faces each other a lot! When you play about 1/3 of your games against your own division. You need to win them to be higher up. And with numbers like below, I'd either got to be afraid of the Habs or seriously question their ability to adapt to teams they play less.

    Against their own division
    Boston .500
    Buffalo .442
    Detroit .451
    Montreal .711
    Ottawa .480
    Florida .500
    Tampa Bay .480
    Toronto .673

Very close to each other except 2 teams. The only division that is that close. I'm sure Montreal won't be taken lightly this coming season and they might drop..
