I agree wit you Nicklington, this player is a bust in my opinion, but he's too small and doesn't fit 'Tree's" new team "dna" change philosophy at all.

Dear Lord. Well no one apparently wants Casey Mittelstadt which would be a good reason to not make a move for him. Buffalo gave up on him. Colorado had him as the young solution to their second line center problems. He was a half point a guy for them and didn't solve those problems. They traded him for Charlie Coyle. He has played in eight NHL seasons and his best moment was 15 G and 59 PTS with Buffalo. He had 15 goals and 40 points last year. If the Bruins traded him thats three teams that have given up on him. If we look at the blues stanly cup champion team, they didnt have any nylanders, matthews, marners or tavares, instead they had a deep back end, a great goalie, and all 4 lines were grinders. I think we need to understand what kind if team Berube has success with and chill on rushing to make trades and using all our cap. Unless theres a 70+ pts playoff winger, or a true #1 dman available for trade, we should go into the season with what we got, trade or put on waivers who we dont need to create cap flexibility and be patient before trade deadline. We got a solid top 6, much improved defensive minded bottom 6 that can put up pts , good shut down D-core to help our top goal tending duo to stop more shots. Im happier we are a defence creates offence type of team, that has til the trade deadline to do more, and who knows if any if our prospects can make this team even better

sistent player, it just doesnt make sense, Leafs need player with some history of being a winner, not a player with a history of being hot and cold. Leafs need size, leafs need consistent play, they do not need another warm and cold type player, I think right now, far too many media outlets are making too many suggestions about every player who might be moving, this DOESNT mean the Leafs want, or need to sign them all.
