Epsen wasn't the same after that deflected puck hit that girl (she passed away, family has forgiven him) . Who would be? One of the many Jackets tragedies in the teams short history.
Second!!
Columbus has too many tragedies, Kivlenieks and Gaudreau
My Favorite Blue Jackets players: 1.Patrik Laine 2. Markus Hännikäinen 3.Joonas Korpisalo 4.Markus Nutivaara 5. Fredrik Norrena. 6. Rick Nash 7. Boone Jenner 8.Ole-Kristian Tollefsen 9.Kent Johnson 10. David Vyborny.
Hiding popular songs is a good trick. And the best one is when the people that request it are disappointed and their friend would shriek "IT'S THEIR BIRTHDAAAAAAAAY!"
Also; a real strong list for a franchise that seems to be a good launching pad. Hope they go beyond that next year.
My favorite might always be Nick Foligno. Just a great guy and a hard worker. Never forget the time he took a puck to the face and played through. His face was bruised for weeks.
Espen knutsen. Man i love that guy. Knuts!
You missed the man, the myth, the legend. The one and only… Robert Kron.
But on a serious note, I'm shocked at the exclusion of Adam Fantilli! You've always had a lot of good things to say about him whenever he's come up.
So players can be on 2 lists if they played for 2 different teams. e.g. Boborovsky? Or is it they can't be on both say the North Stars and Dallas Stars lists?
Been looking forward to this. I mostly just come here when THG posts Blue Jackets content.
I have no problems with any of THG's selections, even if I would probably pick a few different players than he did. None of the most-hated former Blue Jackets came anywhere close to his list. I wouldn't have even objected if he had put Panarin on the list, although some CBJ fans might have. Similarly, I don't have any problem with Bob being on the list.
The two names that come to mind that I would add to the list are Ron Tugnutt and Jody Shelley, for their place in Blue Jackets history. Tugger was perhaps the first fan favorite, and he famously got 4 votes for President in the team's first year, despite being ineligible (he's Canadian). Shelley was one of the only true enforcers in Blue Jackets history, and he was a big fan favorite. We were all happy to see him return as an announcer, and he's an exceptional announcer. Notwithstanding that, he makes the list just for his time as a player. He also highlights that the list is "favorite" and not "best" players.
The rest of my list would probably include many, if not most, of THG's selections. Definitely Knutsen and Vyborny. Nash, of course, but also not at the top. Werenski, Foligno, Johnny Hockey, are all locks. Maybe I'll stop there before I have to cross names off the list. Other names are popping into my head, so it would be hard for me to narrow it down to 20. I'm glad Shannon did the work so I don't have to.
Rick Nash and Nick Foligno are the quintessential "should have stayed Blue Jackets"
Lol "all time".
I'm a CBJ season ticket holder since day 1, I fully agree with your list. I would try to find a spot for Steve Mason on there somewhere, along with RJ Umberger and Derrick Brassard…maybe honorable mentions?
Excellent list, I have many of the same favorites. Ron Tugnutt was my first favorite player. Big love to Jean-Luc Grand-Pierre, Jody Shelly, and Jared Boll.
Great choices for the Blue Jackets! Cam Atkinson would be my number one. I loved most of the players from the 2012-2020 era. I think Seth Jones should get an honorable mention because he played great with Werenski in his time with us.
