The goal post for this contract signing have had some legs this summer.
Imagine if you will, Philp, who is NOT waivers exempt staying in the lineup where maybe he and Henrique trade off as 4C. He's bigger, faster, a bit meaner, does the PK, he's useful. Also remember, Savoie, Howard, and Tomasek ARE Waivers Exempt (per CapWages) so for them to get a spot and Philp to NOT get a spot they'd have to do a lot better than Philp. Take care all.
