I can’t wait to see an outdoor game against Beaver Stadium. Hopefully if this is a success (which it will be as college hockey has become a hot ticket to get in State College) it will one day lead to that most talked about Winter Classic between the Pens and Flyers (State College is smack dab in the middle of the state and both major cities are 2 hours away).

Can someone explain why the Habs would need to move Price's contract like 3 weeks out of the season. it was my understanding that Price's contract would come off the cap once the season started and he was put in LTIR. Is it just to sign/trade for someone before the season starts? Am I missing something. His contract is done this season.
Luke should sign the 8 year deal. If he wants to request a trade he can do that but this is super disrespectful to the fans, many of whom have been diehard fans much longer than he has been alive.

As a Devils guy, I'm tired of the Hughes'. Jack is fragile and can't complete a season, Luke isn't any more valuable than Nemec or Casey. I'd trade them both away for a real star player personally, I don't like their attitudes.
There is no way that Luke gets a 5 year deal. Not only is Jack's deal up in 5 years but so is Timo Meier and Jesper Bratt's. There is no way they are adding Luke to that summer. Of course Luke's agent knows this is a "no go" and it is simply a ploy to get more money for the 8 year deal.
