This video is a bit misleading by the fact that a team like Calgary can come to Vancouver and bully the team. Take cheap shots on our star players and zero push back. Why because no one will stand up for our stars. No one can because we get players who have been pacifists their whole careers. There is no deterrent to stop that kind of play and when you are like that they will become relentless in cheap play because they know our team won't do anything to stop that. Just Kane will not be able to curb it you have to pick players who can and will. It will always hurt our team. Our aggression is fine it is our ability to defend our players, team mates. A pack of wolves survive the lone wolf dies. If you have at least 5-7 players who can scrap it sends a message to other teams that you will get rough stuff in return. And you get more hockey instead of the other crap.. We only have one player in our lineup.
If you look at the numbers the top 10 teams are most bad or below average. One reason is you’re not checking if you have the puck. Detroit being on the bottom shows how truly soft they’re they don’t have the puck and they still aren’t hitting anyone.
This is why Florida Panthers have won back to back cups they play the style I play on NHL22 and what Marchand the rat once said just injure the opposition players is how to progress obviously need to score goals etc but being physical does work remember Konstantinov, McCarthy and Kronwall? This is the problem playing European possession based hockey it all looks nice and is how Bettman wants it played but is the main reason why we haven't made the playoffs in about a decade. It's also the fear factor hits are hits not like the old days when enforcers were scared of Probert and told their own teammates to calm down as they didn't want to face him. Are you scared of a bully lol NHL 98 intro with Jason Arnott😂 would any of you be scared of fighting anybody on our roster in real life? I wouldn't you would probably get a tickle and a hug.
Hit shoot score and repeat
The Red Wings are softer than charmin.
Also my two favorite teams, Detroit would have the edge but just want Vancouver to get a cup too.
