I watched all the games yesterday, including top teams and possible wild card contenders. Usually when strong teams face each other, scores stay tight—under 5, maybe a bit over 6. But Yankees vs. Detroit was different. Detroit’s players didn’t even look like they were giving 90% effort. The games looked handed over: 11–1 and 12–2. Boone isn’t the problem, it’s like you have limited resources to manage.
The Yankees pitching has been suspect all season.
