I wish the Mets luck the rest of the season, but I am forever done with the team. Suffered for 40 years and I've seen some truly bad teams (the Bonilla era, 2009 – 2014), some good teams, and, as usual, a lot of collapses. But this year…this year was the icing on the cake. 15 games above 500 at the All Star break and they've completely lost their way. Mendoza has lot the locker room. Hefner lost the pitching staff. Stearns, despite hs pedigree, has been the worst GM on the planet. And Soto, while hitting well, is clearly an albatross. Gotta cut ties and lose the embarassment and stress.
