Got home at midnight (Upstate NY). This was my daughter's first game and she had a great experience!
The hype behind Demidov is real. In pre game he was F-ing around with the puck and it was kinda mind blowing. By far, he was the best player on the ice tonight. No one remotely compared. That is not a knock.
He really is that good.
We enjoyed a great evening of hockey. There was a lot of talent out there. Florian & Reinbacher may not start the season on the main roster but there's a good chance they finish the season on main. I kept an eye on #56 Will Dineen as he's a "hometown" guy. He's not NHL ready yet… But… If the Habs need a guy that can throw down on quick notice… He suits the bill…
If the Habs didn't pull Fowler after one period and let him play two… They easily win this. The gentleman sitting next to me didn't speak a word of English… And, we both agreed on it, lol!
Demidov has to be careful that won't work in the NHL, players will bash him like that, only deeke if you are open, because they will destroyt you in the end…

reinbacker didnt impress me at all , is decision making is not good , he was good at the 1st period , but after that it was not good at
and for me , demidov should play with the best players , so with suzuki and caufield until we have may be a real second line center

We didn't win – that is the reason to play, even in a prospect game. So I can't get too excited about individual performances.
Reinbacher looked awesome and yes, he looked ready for the NHL (against prospects) but I want him in Laval to get more time on ice and so Kent can have time to find the best deal for Matheson or Struble. If David moves up someone has to go. As for Ivan, all I can say is DEMIGOD!

I was at that game and damn it was amazing. Demigod, what a game. But we need to give credit to the Jets goalie, 36 saves, stay all game, make some key saves. He was very good.
I am trying to moderate my expectation with Demidov but that kid is making it hard for me to not go nuts about the habs future.
It was good but Reinbacher and Engstrom don’t look ready for the NHL. One more year with a few games in the nhl. Definitely not enough right now to force Struble and Xhekaj out of their position. Remember these games are AHL and minor league players.

Yesterday was the first time watching a hockey game, and it was at the stadium. I fell in love with the team thanks to the crowd. But, I need to ask, as a soccer fan, i dont know how to digest this result. We should be happy, sad, disappointed? I just want to understand more of the game

Lets be honest here, as main team player Demidov shouldt be there and Florian the only one who can keep up with him. Good game but its shows why one good player cant push it for the win. One more thing, Reinbacher was the worst in our team, very soft. I take protz over him all day long, skills not there but size and passion impressive. Sorry for my bad English

I dont know if we watched the same game but reinbacher looked lost and got burned a lot, made some good plays for sure but engstrom was a lot better, which is not what was expected given where they were picked in draft.
It showed that Reinbacher didn’t play much.. 🤣 got totally deked out of his socks and was just as slow as Ben Chiarot
5:53 I don't want Florian Xhekaj to take the 13th spot. It's either one of the main roster's spot or back to the AHL where he can play all games and lots of minutes.
