Agreed, Kopitar is very underrated. Kings broke my heart in '14 by beating the Rangers in the finals, but they deserved it. I also think your assessment of Byfield as the next potential major point producer is spot-on. Not quite there yet, but hopefully they nurture him instead of tossing him like PLD. If Kopitar played in a traditional hockey market, he'd be just as revered as Bergeron. But playing in LA his entire career, which we love him for, but it definitely makes him less appreciated around the league.

Sharks fan I feel like the kings downfall was inevitable with their aging vets but this sealed the deal and opened the door for the Sharks or Ducks to take California. 2025-2026 might be the last season where Kings are the big brothers of California.

what a badass kopi always was!!! Not a Kings fan but man I have always had the utmost respect for Kopi. He's also one of the few players who should've been on the top 100 greatest players list in 2017 and the fact he wasn't was an embarrassment
