I agree with DK on Malkin. His advanced stwts has him too 1/3 amongst second line centres. And that is being paired with weak wingers. When he’s had guys like that or zucker when he was here. His advanced metrics were even better

useless graves blew that game for the pens , takes a penalty that resulted in the montreal goal ! only one guy scored in the shootout , the others had pathetic attempts at scoring !
last season as the play of the pens got worse so to did the attendance , those that wish the pens tank in the hope of a high draft pick must want to see an empty arena ! capitals are the model for the fans who dont want to "tear it all down " !

One point I believe is missing from the "Gino last season dipped" conversation that needs to be looked at is…….exactly how many wingers did he play with last year? That's correct A TON!!! 2nd line was a swinging door guys. With however Muse sets up this year, Gino may have Mantha and McGroarty on his wings, or perhaps Koivunen and Mantha, which I believe may be better from those two due to Koivunen's playmaking ability. My point is that if other than injuries or to try and get a spark from a player here and there, the 2nd is pretty well set, then Gino can develop chemistry with his wingers. If that's the case and Gino say plays 70 games, I can see him get 55 or potentially 60 points. Like always, thank you DK. Blessings, Victor 🙏

No offense to our fellow Pens fan from Moscow but you cancelled your own comment about cutting ties with Malkin when you said the 200 points the last 3 seasons was only done by 30 other centers. Idk how math is done in Russia but there 32 teams in the NHL so in effect 32 #1 centers and Malkin is producing at a #1 center clip. You destroyed your own argument.
I love Geno and I think he can still do it, but admittedly he does need wingers who complement him….JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. I hope he plays as long as he wants.
