Columbus in 6
Im predicting Pittsburg to win in game 6 but I think it would be great to see a underrated team knock out the defending champs in round 1
Wild take down the blues in 5
Your cats are cool!
I said Pittsburgh in 5. I think it's gonna be like last year where secondary scoring won the Penguins a cup. They have more depth and I think if they win the first 2 they cannot be stop
I've watched all 7 and loved them all so I thank you
I'm predicting Penguins in 6 but I think they could make it happen in 5.
I feel like their defense might still be better than the Jackets even without Letang. Shannon went over a lot of the Jackets defensive players so I'll give my opinions on the Pens –
Everyone knows how great of an offensive D and powerplay quarterback Schultz has become, but I feel like the rest of the D group is what will make the difference – Cole is one of the leading shot blockers in the league, has great chemistry with Schultz, and has improved his skating and breakouts a ton over the course of the season. Daley is back now and just as skilled of skater as he was before his injury and will be able to eat up a lot of Letang's minutes, Mattaa's back as well and his footspeed and conditioning looks the best that it's been in 1.5 years. Dumoulin has proved himself over the past year and last playoffs to be a solid defensive defensemen with some good puck moving ability, and was on the top pairing with Letang for most of their playoff run last year. Hainsey and Streit are two smart, experienced players that will be able to help the young D like Dumoulin and Maatta. I'd argue their D group is one of the top 3 or 4 in the playoffs, even without Letang, just because of how deep it is.
I would love (Other than seeing the Habs win) to see Pittsburgh go Back-To-Back a second time.
So my money is with Sid and the gang. However I have a bit of worry on the Pens side is the fact Letang is absent.
But the team has enough depths that they can make it through. So Pittsburgh in 7.
Pens in 6
pens in 6 , score , 4 – 1
I completely disagree on the defense, even when Letang is in, jackets defense is better, also yes Schultz analytics look great until you look at context, low quality of competition, high zone start percentage, and you look at line contribution, which I see as IPP (individual points percentage) when Schultz is on the ice he only gets a point in 32% of every goal, for comparison sakes Sekera gets a point 42% of the time, and even Darnell Nurse gets one the exact same rate as Schultz at 32%, his numbers are definitely inflated because of pens play and his constant powerplay time
Columbus in 6
First off big fan you know the game and what you are talking about hats off. For myself personally I want to see Columbus beat Pittsburgh for the main reason that Washington would have a better chance. Any one of these two teams wanna see win Sir Stanley is Washington or Edmonton.
And as a oilers fan I know the odds are not in the oilers favor.
by me giving back & with appreciation of your hard work and great videos, I always 👍's up , leave comments & never skip ads. I'm reading comments well the ad runs.
No problem
As a wild fan I dont like when people "compare" wild and jackets. Im trying to be unbiased but I think the wild have always been a better team with exception to maybe this year.
I'm going Columbus in 7. They have the talent. I wouldn't say Columbus if it weren't for the fact that Letang is out. There's no replacing him. I think that Columbus is just one of those teams who has nothing to lose with a (grumbles) great coach, against a team who's ridden with injuries.
Jackets in 7 because of Bob.
Tough match but Pens have the talent particularly if Malkin returns from injury, Bobrovsky has carried Blue Jackets to some degree this season, they are far weaker when Korpisalo plays
Columbus in 7
I think Columbus will step up and give Pittsburgh very thing they have.
Normally I don't mind adverts once they're not a) any longer than a minute or b) as I've found this morning, due to my location (Ireland), politically advertising anti-abortion before any referendum here has been announced. It's in extremely bad taste but that's not something I hold against you……you don't control the adverts that pop up on Youtube.
Brutal matchup that one could make a case either way. I have to agree Pens in 6 though. Letang's injury is big, but he's so often injured that the Pens have learned how to play without him (missed 41 games this season alone). Schultz's emergence will help negate the impact, as he played limited minutes in last year's playoffs (and was scratched in some). Hagelin and Kunitz injuries are a factor but like you said, the Pens are just so loaded up front: Crosby/ Sheary/ Guentzel/ Malkin/ Kessel/ Rust/ Hornqvist/ Cullen/ Wilson/ Kuhnackl/ Bonino. They just come at teams in waves, relentlessly. There's a reason they finished with the 2nd best record in the nhl despite dealing with injuries all year. Unfortunately, the Blue Jackets aren't completely healthy with Murray and Werenski dealing with injuries. I know Werenski is expected to play though, and hopefully he's healthy.
Great preview to the series! Here's to hoping it lives up to the hype!
Pittsburgh in 5
I have a feeling that the hockey guy doesn't really care about the west
Pens in 5. Blue Jackets sucked down the stretch and don't have the talent to win a series with the speedy Pens.
Jackets in 6 is what I think. They have gotten much better on the blue line.
The audio is messed up again
Columbus proved pesky for the Pens in '14 when the pens did not have similar offensive depth. Let alone the fact that the Pens shored up on their D, Pittsburgh, like you said, has one of the deepest teams in the league. Now obviously you're missing Letang and Columbus had made some shifting of bodies themselves, but I think the elite talent will rise for the Pens in the playoffs. There's now way if the Penguins are healthy, that they'll get stopped.
Great channel Shannon, thanks for keeping me entertained at work! Your channel is the first I have subscribed to.
CBJ in 7
As a pens fan, I don't think they will pull this one out because of their injuries. CBJ should be able to win this in my opinion. Either way Washington is still the most complete team in the league and will prob raise the cup this year.
I totally agree, Pens in 6
Columbus in 7. Long hard fought series. No doubt Pit has the strength in front. But I think Columbus has the will to push it to game 7 and nothing would show pit that we truly are rivals then to beat them in their own building and knock them out. Columbus wants to make their mark even if they get out second round. We can show everyone that we are a good club.
As a Pens fan i have confidence but realistically speaking, it could go either way. They're a very very good team and we can't take them lightly.
Columbus doesn't have anything to lose, there's no pressure compared to Pittsburgh who are being hyped to repeat.
Can you do a video on this years entry draft?
Pens in 6
I'm takeing colombus in 7
Pittsburgh because there at home it urges me to say that
This is the series I'm looking forward to the most. Could be SUPER tight, could be Pens dominate. Giving it to Pens. Also, this is the 2nd video I've watched of yours today with a cat having a bath in the background – 2 different cats. Love. lol 🐱
Penguins in six maybe. Columbus is forever mediocre.
I have an upset. Columbus in 6. Tight games and a lot of their D's are chipping in. Letang is out they wont really get production from the back end, beside Schultz if he's on.
cbj in 7
Jackets in 6 with the health of the Jackets they will beat the Pens
Nice hat
I've got Columbus in this one
Go BlueJackets!
