  1. JT Miller's energy is great, when the team is winning. If the team is losing, he turns toxic. He needs a strong personality to keep him in line. Now that he's the captain, no one is going to keep him in line and if the team gets off to a slow start, the locker room will turn toxic quickly.

  2. i will never forgive the roll of toilet paper they got the word "ethos" from and how it's been abused 😭

  3. Theyre gonna be 5th or 6th and miss playoffs again, their roster on paper is really not inspiring to me at all.

  4. Bottom 6 and bottom two parings are rough. This does not look like a playoff team to me. I would bet the under on points, but who knows what the hell happens

  5. They quit last year. They have all of those players still. How are they going to be better? There’s players and teams that actually take being in the NHL seriously and as a privilege.

  6. Shesterkin will start to be talked about this season as a huuugggeee overpayment after he posts a GAA over 3 and a sub .900 save percentage. Cook me hard in 6 months if I’m wrong

  7. Feels like Drury’s not done with the D. I can see a pre Christmas trade for the Rangers

  8. "Games stolen above expectation, is that the stat?" 😅 probably thinking of goals saved above average. I don't think there's any type of stat for "stolen games"

  9. JT Miller got injured today in practice, apparently Elias Patterson snuck in there and walked him on the knee

  10. I think that their depth at every position is kinda weak and that unless Zibanejad has a huge bounce back than they just don't feel like they can score enough to improve. I genuinely think Columbus has a better roster besides the goaltending. Especially if there is improvement from Fantilli and Johnson.

  11. JT has been known to be a leader in some "amazing" dressing rooms, he's the player version of Torts. They might be great this year, but NYR are in for a rough couple of years

  12. Adam Fox is the most overrated player in the league. When he 1st came up, he was a borderline elite defensive defenseman with offensive upside.
He won the Norris and got paid.
Today, Adam Fox is no longer a borderline elite defensive defenseman. In fact, I'll name a few things he reminds me of in his own end….
Traffic cone…. turnstile…an object that was an affection of Madusa's gaze….
He is soft and weak, gets pushed around like an autum 🍁 falling from a tree in hurricane force winds, skates like the ice surface is beach sand and is a turnover machine.
    "But….But…..But……points"
Give me the guy who defends his own end effectively and puts up 40-50 pts…
If you guys want him in Toronto, please, take him

  13. The Rangers traded Trouba, Miller, and Lindgren and brought in Gavrikov… they have ONE decent pair of defensemen… their 2nd and 3rd pair blueline is high key terrible…

  14. I don’t think it’s fair to put any blame on last season performance on Shesty. I’m an NJD fan, no love for the Rags. But their D gave up on the team last year. His numbers were GREAT for what he was standing behind. It was crazy. Blue shirts looked like they were drunk for most of the season.

  15. Based on their defense it feels like their strategy is "Shesterkin will stop it". Fox will still be a great player. Gavrikov will be very good. The rest are questionable. Schneider & Borgen are at best not a negative. Their bottom pairing will have a tough time

  16. The GM anointing JT Miller as the captain of a veteran dressing room, after only 32 games, is continuing Drury's war against the players by other means. I expect trade deadline angst with Panarin, given how unlikely he is to give a team friendly deal to a hostile GM. Their defensive woes, other than from a lack of engagement and backchecking, was because the team couldn't find someone to play alongside Fox that didn't make Fox worse. Gavrikov could be that guy, but I could easily see them putting him on the second pairing alongside Soucy on his off-hand side. I fully expect Rempe shenanigans to make the highlight reels again this season.

Shesterkin played great in front of a team that threw him to the wolves every night. The Rangers' strategy last season was to wait for the opposing team to either get tired arms from shelling their goalie or take an undisciplined penalty because the puck wasn't getting past him.

  17. What happened to Fox was getting a knee injury in 24 against Washington in the playoffs and then against Carolina the next round. He's HOPEFULLY fully recovered

  18. 12-6-2 start last year, and then the GM said they were willing to sell everyone and that this record doesn’t “fool” him. Basically saying he doesn’t believe in the team that went to the ECF last year. Everything fell apart after that for them.
