    Not concerned at all .I expect top 3 draft pick in 26 .making playoffs will only set this team back an circling mediocrity for another 5 to 8 years mostly looking forward to pasta asking for trade an dont blame him at all

    That second line is awful. I don’t think Sways is going to carry this team. I have no issues with the defence, first, third and fourth line.

    With the PK being so bad I have know doubt if they played against philly’s starters they would have lost in regulation.

    Goalies trying to overplay the puck drives me nuts, it should be a "break glass in case of emergency" type move. I've played net in leagues that the majority of players are mid-west D1 and up(think Michigan), all the way to guys that played in the NHL, so I have some tangential experience. I think people often forget we have a literal mitt on one hand, in no world should I be playing the puck unless I absolutely have to

    I dont know what this preseason means so far but imo…..This team should have Poitras, Minten and Blumel on its opening roster because now is the time. I dont care about getting the kuraly, ardvedsson, middlestadts, jeannots and essymonts their ice time to make us middlers. Never mind Beecher as well. I also agree there is a better vibe to this team but still not sure its going to translate to the regular season if upper management doesnt make the right roster decisions.

    The only thing that I didn’t like tonight was the PK system. Didn’t love how they just abandoned covering anything below the dots and just tried to cover the top of the play the whole time.

    I might be delusional but I honestly feel pretty good after this game, they had a lot more finish than we’re used to seeing

    I see this as another rebuilding year. We have possibly the worst top 6 in the league and average defense at best. Mcavoy and lindholm are top pairing but after that, i dont trust lohrei, Zadorov, peeke or johkiharu with extended top 4 minutes. Im seeing a lot of defensive breakdowns and Swayman continuing to struggle, maybe a slight bounce back.

    While i have no problem getting more top 10 picks, i do have to question how long Pasta stays with this team. To compete, we need a 1C, scoring winger and another top 4 D. Hagens has potential but he isnt going to save this team, theres a good chance we are heading into a long rebuild.

    I got to admit potsy had a really good game physically and was not actually getting blown out as it would seem. That one hit with Andre was actually decent as potsy stopped Andre in his tracks and didn't get sent down to the ice. With brunet I mean yes he had some defensive lapses but then again the whole team had there moments but he did have some decent offensive pops here and there

    "he's shaking off the rust, I'm not that concerned" It's also game 4 of the preseason. Maybe Sway, after last year, should have been shaking the rust off in preseason game 1. Team needs a little urgency in preparedness.

    Honestly like the lineup minus a few tweaks, 2nd is ooof, but rest of the team looks solid when all our D are in. Still not what we’ve been used to the last decade but I mean we implement some of our prospects with what we have for a core I think in a year or 2 will be pleasantly surprised
