  1. Give the kid a shot could be next Jake G. watching his game last season and into his second preseason he looks NHL ready but can not be put on a fourth line role.

  2. I dont know why all the negativity about BK, hes slow, hes small, hes not strong enough…..hes 18. From what I have seen he has NHL caliber talents He really is a first rounder I said it from the beginning

  3. With broz, hallander, hayes, Kindle, etc. performing well, it doesn't look like hienen and accarri are safe at this point. As I said previously, if some of these guys dont take their spot, what are we doing here. To be be more accurate mantha has replaced heinen and brazue has replaced accarri (which are upgrades), so these kids are earning their own spots. Do not block the youth.

  4. I think the young guys look pretty good. A lot of energy. Wish we had some of this energy the last 3 yrs. Its exciting!

  5. Koivenen, Kindle, Hayes line looked really good clearly chemistry there they were flying. Kindle looks NHL ready now

  6. Be honest, which goalie are you keeping?
    Goalie A: 22 years old, 49 GP, 32-10-4, 2.41 GAA, .923 sv%
    Goalie B: 32 years old, 38 GP, 18-10-7, 3.02 GAA, .909 sv%

  7. Kindel wasn't the consensus top player available when he was picked. But, If you look at almost every draft, there is a guy who goes in the 20's that betrer than all of those consensus teen picks.

Maybe Dubas pickes the right one.

  8. Lots of injuries around the league, many teams looking to sign available players. Penguins still squandering $13 mil in cap space while watching the rest of the league snatch up good available players. Right on Penguins, keep up the good work.

  9. Can’t remember the last time I was this excited by the state of our youth system. My J1Q for you DK is, which of the young guys who haven’t cemented an NHL spot yet, do you think will be on the roster and contributing this season? Love the content as always

  10. At the risk of reading too much into it, Kindel's comments are telling. Good things happen when he keeps his feet moving, vs when he slows the game down. That sounds like he's repeating something the coaches have been telling him. Perhaps, slowing the game down was an intentional choice that was effective for him in Junior, but that trait is what made scouts think his skating was a problem? Perhaps Kindel got some good coaching since being drafted, that to play at the NHL level he has to play with pace, and really took it to heart?
