I don't care about burning the ELC but I do care that he's actually capable of sustaining it over an entire season, because I also don't want to see him just end up sitting and not playing at all.
He'll definately get to start the season with the team. But im not sure if a full season would be good for him. We know players that young can play a full season, but its not always the best option
no way is he playing in the nhl 😂
I say play the 9 games and let him go back down to Seattle to put on a little more size and graduate from high school before you bring him up. For his after years of playing hockey he doesn’t mess up his education.
The question should be, is Cootes the next Bo Horvat?
Cootes will be better than Linden and Horvat
This idea is probably only being entertained because the team is short of legit depth at Center; if he was a winger or defenseman there would be no talk of him warning more than a 9 game stay with the big club.
Baaaad idea. We have no sample size for cootes. If this season is anything like last season every single game matters. We can’t take gambles on a rookie who hasn’t adapted to the physicality of the league.
