Lekki looking like prime Ovi and Garly undressing $30 million+ for the OT winner is golden. Cootes looked to be stronger than expected with the assist on that first goal too.
I just loved Lekkerimaki making that statement. He's got the shot, it's fire, and he wants a chance to show it.
Sasson and Manchini are my two picks for the bubbles .
I mean… Petey's line was pretty well hard matched against Mcdavid's and they did a pretty good job limiting them all night. Petey did such a good job in the FO's vs Draisaitl that he took a stupid penalty to give the #Canucks a 5-on-3 PP. Petey also had some big hits in the game, was solid defensively and made one spectacular backcheck that probably saved a goal where he went flying into the boards as a result YES, underwhelming offensively tonight (3 missed shots) but there were extenuating circumstances. He was leading tonight on the ice… unfair of you guys not to discuss everything else he did. Again, we all want him to dominate and take games over offensively… of course. But it's not like he was invisible on the ice tonight.
Huggie the QB, beoser n Lekks switch off the wall high/ bumper with Peteys confidence slapper back annnnnd gars sneeeeeeeky back door goals top 10 PP
What is Irf doing there? I noticed it last show A LOT, and now again this show… Jeff talks for 20 minutes… Irf gives an opinion for a couple; Jeff talks for 20 minutes; Irf shakes his head up and down a bit. Jeff takes it home for the last 15 minutes, and Irf may as well be a Bobble-Head sitting on Jeff's desk, ready to take our attention for a moment while Jeff gets some water. Seriously guys? It's like watching The Conan show, and Irf is Andy, who gets 3 lines in for the whole show! Don't believe me? DO THE ANALYTICS! Count the minutes Irf spoke in either of these 1st two pre-season shows! I'll lay money down that it wasn't much more than 10% of the time. He's sitting there, Jeff! You can't see him? If it were me, I'd get up and walk away, and let you keep blabbing on, and I doubt you'd even notice. Good luck with the show this season… But if it's only going to be Jeff's voice droning one for 45 of the 55 minutes, I'm going to eventually tune out. 😴 Cheers.
I remember saying to people that if Quinn didn’t start his first full year on PP1 game 1 the coach should be fired immediately… why would you start an aging stonehands veteran that can’t hit the net when you have a thoroughbred sitting in the stable. Love the edit, thank you.
much better looking squad, with chemistry/depth/good coaching & solid system compared to last year > they should do well in the division, & make playoffs
Johnny One T – gets my vote
