Sad for fans to see the leafs are continuing to spin their wheels and not improve glaring areas.
Most teams in the league protect each other which is as far as I'm concerned as important as winning. In fact it will bring on more wins.

For certain Robertson should sit makes no sense, 1 A and the other night he gets set up with a open net and miss times the shot wide, c'mon WTF, and Domi should sit, this guy on the first line or as a center c'mon now, his defensive play is brutal even worse than Nylander and Domi has but 1 goal WTF Berube. Domi is like Robertson except he makes twice the salary and were stuck with him for a few years, what a bad signing this was along with Robertson and Kemp. WTF management get rid of the imposters. Berube has gone soft. This is 100% on Berube. All he does is make excuses. Start laying into these soft players. Matthews is no captain. The guy inspires nobody. The C should be given back to Tavares or given to Knies.

Joshua who has done very little continues to be given a spot in the lineup while 200 ft player Calle Jarnkrok gets a seat in the press box. Stolarz gets run over no one does anything not even a foppish face wash to any Kracker, in fact did any Leaf even throw a hit after that. What is wrong with these guys, the Canadians on the team mostly played Canadian jr. Hockey, the US jr system is pretty rugged and even the European guys come here with the guns loaded, yet they sign these lucrative guaranteed contracts and turn into
pacifists for the most part. The only thing i can conclude is that there is a problem in that dressing room, maybe theres a guy in the room who stands apart from the rest which doesnt allow full cohesion within the group. Maybe they need to look closer at the leadership group, maybe ROR was right?

October 20th Game 6 they 3/2/1 we should all breathe they were 5 and 5 after 10 games last season. That said, the Robertson experiment in futility needs to end. Matthews should not have gotten the C and definitely not while Tavares was here and wearing the C (and quite frankly he is still unofficially the Captain), but that’s history now. A lot of new faces and line juggling going on, they will gel and settle in, they will make the playoffs but all bets are this is not the roster they ice going into the playoffs.

The problem for years when it came to the playoffs is there's no backbone in the leadership group. Yes, knies is showing signs of having a backbone but he turned 23 a couple days ago – one kid isn't going to change the DNA of this teams culture let alone redefine it by himself. Time for management to realize it's not just about putting up points or who can win the division. To be a formidable team in the playoffs, your players need to be the ones intimidating other teams and wearing the opponents down. Until that changes, this team will always fall short when the games get tighter, faster, and more aggressive
