With the concussion problems McCabe has good thing it wasn't him taking that punch. It was great he didn't back away from Tuch but we have seen McCabe with stars in his eyes too many times.
Question: why is Landiskog sp? captain and not Mack? Would he turn invisible like Matthews if he got the C?
He could have took the leave of absence for a sickness in the family. Doesn't necessarily have to be something wrong with him physically.

Considering who the goalies are, you cant throw them to the wolves. Granted they haven't quite done that, but if the defensive play doesn't begin to fully support the goalies, its gonna get ugly.

Austin ain't your tough minded Nathan-type leader. Come on! Again, the Leafs have been full of top players who know all the sound bites, know all the professional prep, and are good players, etc. But it is clear they lack what Mackinnon-types have. I seriously disagree for having a negative comments on the team you like don’t necessary equals to panicking, if the comments do reflect a certain correct facts. Through out the summer I voice out my disappointment for Tree decision for deciding not to have a replacement for Mitch. Although I am not a fan of Mitch however we can’t ignore his contributions during the regular season, decided to have NO replacement for him then use 11 million to sign Robertson and up grade the third and fourth lines is a huge mistake. With Habs becoming a legit playoff team and Tampa , Florida continues to warm up with Washington not slowing down and Devis , Hurricanes being the top teams in Metro. There are two wildcard for the Leafs to fight for, although I am not claiming they will be definitive out however I am not convinced they are definitely a playoff team. I believe Tree should position well as an assistant GM for negotiation of the contracts however not appropriate as a GM for making trades. The fact is they can’t afford to miss the playoffs because Tree gave up a first round pick to Boston, although is a top five protected if the pick is top 7 is going to damage our Leafs for years to come. He decided to be patient during the off season however if his prediction of the team is wrong he will force himself to make a panic over pay trade during the season.
