The Oilers are so unpredictable. One game their defense and goaltending play good to earn at least a point but lack offense. The next game, they lack defense but offense shows up 🤦♂️

While it wasn’t pretty, we desperately needed a gritty come from behind win like that and the top 6 finally looks like it’s clicking. I had podkolzin-drai-savoie penciled in as the 2nd line at the beginning of the year knew they’d be a workhorse line

Howard has looked good all year. He generates everything and off the puck I really don’t think he has been bad. He’s a genuine stud of a hockey player. Needs to stay on this team.

Montreal reminds me of the late 2010s-early 2020s Oilers where they play a very fast back and forth game with all five players looking to attack, and like the Oilers of years yonder, they seem to be pretty good at it. Unfortunately, like the Oilers back then, their aggressive back-and-forth style of play often leads to opportunities in their zone as well. It’s actually interesting to look back at how the Oilers use to play with a younger Drai and McDavid compared to how they play now. Their game has definitely matured. However, the Oilers can still play that style of game if they need to. Looking forward to seeing the Habs progress over the next few seasons.
